A great place to get food. We enjoyed the flatbread, the chunks and a BLT with garlic cheese fries. The outside seating was great. A perfect day to eat outside. The reason for not giving them 5 stars were the fries. They were not really good.
My coworker and I were in the area on business and wanted to find a charming, local place with good reviews and this was a great pick. Fair prices, big portions and very pleasant service. No wait to dine inside, short wait for the patio. The Jamaican jerk chunks were tasty with the right amount of spice. We shared the Beer Cheese Dip and it was still so much food. It comes with 4 huge pretzels.
So much enjoyed the lunch we had here outside on the patio. Couple of very tasty drinks and some wonderful brats and dogs just made it fun. Small place so not for large groups, but nice location with small shops and along the street.
Delicious sausages, delicious wings, great beer selection. Reasonably priced. It was about an hour wait but it's a nice area to walk around in. Will be back!
Swig is an incredible local pub and grub in the NW Ohio area. There weekly sandwich specials are really awesome. This was a smoked pulled turkey with peach bbq sauce and sweet potato tots. I always enjoy looking up their weekly sandwich specials because they do get a bit exotic...Great staff who are really friendly. ALWAYS packed. Get on over there
Place is very small parking is not great. 1st time here!! Fries were very good.... Hot chicken chunks were really good! Waitress was OK... I felt like It was bother... to ask her questions.. About food I never ate before!! Might come back. Alittle pricey as well. Place was very busy for a Sunday.
WOW... This is what eating out is all about... What an amazing experience. The staff was wonderful. The environment was great. The food was awesome. I would stop back again. I had the sausage platter which had 3 different sausages, sauerkraut, sweet and sour cabbage, and pierogies which is a lot of food but just awesome. Wify had the Kobe butter burger with sweet potatoe tots which she really loved. This place is amazing
Enjoying a weekend getaway, I ventured down from Detroit to to catch a comedy show at the funny bone and experience the nearby stores and restaurants. Once exiting the show of the funny bone I found that the area shut down around 9 PM so as I searched for a good burger and a fun drink I found this place a few minutes drive from the city soon in which I was staying. I was greeted with a smile upon walking in. Sit on the patio immediately. Server approached seconds after being seated. Pleasantries throughout the entire experience. Although the burger menu was limited I was not disappointed in my choice. Although I did use the saucy cheese as a topper. But the star of the evening was the pistachio mule recommended highly by the server. This drink gave me an experience I would want to visit again. The notes were as sophisticated as a fine perfume. As the taste and smell Battled for your attention. This little town diner rivals most of the fine dining establishments I’ve visited in my pass. Trust me looks are deceiving with this place! I got more than I bargained for. Thanks to all the staff members of the night of 10–22–22
Visited 3/27/23 During my search for a place to dine, I stumbled upon Swig. Although street parking was scarce upon arrival, the bustling atmosphere inside indicated the food was worth trying. Despite the somewhat dated building, the extension of the outside covered patio provided ample seating. Our wait time was only three minutes, during which the server, Brandon, engaged us in enjoyable conversation and took our orders without needing to write anything down. However, he forgot that we needed two checks and had to redo the tickets multiple times before getting it right. We started with two appetizers, pretzels with beer cheese and onion rings. Best beer cheese ever. When I inquired about the type of oil they used, I was pleased to learn they used beef tallow, which is one of the best cooking oils. This prompted me to order more fried food. Instead of traditional chicken wings, we tried the chicken chunks, which are actual chicken breasts cut up into chunks, lightly breaded, and grilled. They're healthier and more flavorful than chicken wings, which can be questionable when it comes to their ingredients. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and chicken chunks coated in their house-made mild sauce, along with extra sauces, including the house-made nuclear and burn your face off varieties. The nuclear sauce was not as hot as I anticipated and was comparable to BWW blazing sauce. The "burn your face off" sauce, on the other hand, was not much hotter in my opinion, but it had more visible peppers and a thicker consistency. We also tried the chicken chunks with sweet and tangy coating, but unfortunately, all the chunks were overcooked. The Reuben sandwich, however, was exceptional. The meat was flavorful, and the bread was soft and fresh. We also ordered a double shot of brandy, which was definitely worth the $8. It had a sweet taste and left us wanting more. The decor of the place was intriguing, with various steins on display from different areas. Overall, Swig is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The packed dining room, friendly service, and delicious food make for a delightful experience.
Their idea of a "Smash Burger" isn't really a true smash burger. The burgers were at least very hot but still pink. The bun was over toasted with too much extra butter on top and the fries were definitely over fried. Didn't care for all the tiny pieces of fries in my basket. My husband' sandwich which I didn't get a picture of advertised of having pork belly. It was only pulled pork that was in it. They asked my husband if he needed a drink refill which didn't show up until right before we left and it was the wrong drink. Took a long time to get check and we understand it was busy but alot of servers were just standing around. Probably will never go back.
