The food quality was good. The fried chicken was moist and fresh. The sides were all great. If it wasn't for the food this would be a 3 star review. The problem was with the service. They brought our side salads with dinner. Our dinner lost temperature because we were eating salads that should have been brought out way before. She never came back for refills, sat that 10 minutes with nothing to drink. The store is always fun to browse. They even have squishmellows. If the service was more reliable I would come back more often. This is not the first time I have had service issues.
Nice place for breakfast and lunch. Pretty busy, but they move people through respectfully and as fast as they can. Food was good, came out hot! Bonus for that. In a time when it is hard to keep wait staff, the ones here were very pleasant and did very well.
First time stopping to eat at a Cracker Barrel, and I do not regret it! We were quickly seated by the manager who was very kind, the atmosphere was comforting and homey, our waitress was quick, professional, and very kind! Our food was given to us very quickly, and it was fresh and delicious. The retail store was well-stocked and the cashier was very kind. Would recommend to anyone!
I have always loved Cracker Barrel, even since I was a kid. I even happily worked there for several years and in two different states. But since founder Sam Evans passed away they have been declining and this visit was better than some but still not up to the quality Cracker Barrel standards. I will start with the positive. First our server was very nice and she kept my tea filled. My husband's coffee was kept filled and warm as well. The biscuits were like delicious pillows. It's been a while since I have had them that good. I liked that even after sitting on the table for awhile the gravy and grits didn't turn thick like paste. Okay now for the not so good parts. When we first walked in even though they were not busy nor was the dining room full by any means but the hostess seemed to be moving in slow motion. We asked for a kids menu and were given 2 but no crayons. Instead of seating making sure we had space were seated right next to another table which is fine if your busy not when you are half empty. My bacon came out visibly burnt. The hash brown casserole which is one of my favorites was mushy and had no texture. The dining room was very cold especially for a rainy spring morning. The divider wall next to use didn't look like it had been wiped down in quite awhile as seen in the photo included. I did not once see a manager enter the dining room.
Fish Friday is my favorite day! They have brought back the Broccoli and Cheese Casserole...which is amazing. Very similar to a dish my Grandma used to make. Side that up with some greens and I am in heaven. But I gotta say I love the store just as much . Halloween candy and decorations are adorable. There are some retro bars I have not seen in a while. Fall and Christmas are also in the stores. I know people complain about Christmas decorations, but if you see something you like, you better snag it while they have it. Drove my husband crazy gathering the cutest snowy owls and acorns for my Woodlands theme decor. Employee helping me gather them up was just an angel!
Usually a great restaurant. Waitress took order within 5 minutes of sitting. We were in center of restaurant she passed us numerous times. 20 minutes later she brings our drinks. We noticed people coming in after us, sitting near us ordering food, finishing their meals and leaving. 1 hr later our food arrives. My steak was black tasted like the garlic cap came off on my steak. My granddaughters chicken was so dried out she couldn't eat it. For her to pass up food it must of been bad. I honestly believe waitress forgot to put order in. I could understand if they were short staffed, or busy. The restaurant was not busy numerous empty seats. This was a horrible ending to a night out with the kids. I shouldn't have to run to a fast food restaurant because children are hungry after i pay a mini fortune on meals that we couldn't eat.
Always "predictable" is COMFORTING when traveling! But, the Staff here, are remarkable. I wished I had remembered her name. A 4-Star Server that was exceptional for a round-table of 8. We use this location as a half-way rendezvous for Jackson, Michigan, and Columbus, Ohio. We were celebrating 3 November birthdays! FREE deserts are in order for the Birthday kids! So, look for Exit 193 on I-75. A very busy location with food and shopping. Keith Carey Psalm 139

As an Ontarian, when visiting the states, Cracker Barrel is always a MUST DO. Love the menu and love the store. Had to wait twenty minutes for a table and this gave us the perfect amount of time to pick up a few unique gifts for family back home. The buttermilk chicken and cornbread with Mac & cheese was delicious and leftover chicken today was great served cold. The spiked strawberry lemonade was also very nice. Service with a smile by the lovely Jessica L. that was always there when we needed her and answered our questions before we could ask them. Well done! Always a pleasure. See you in a few months....
We had a family brunch here with family from out of town. All the food was good and prepared as ordered. Our waitress was nice and did a decent job keeping my mothers coffee full. Lol. Really no complaints other than the menu had me wanting the fish meal but it was only available on Fridays, and it wasn't Friday, totally bummed me out! Otherwise a good meal with family!
