Sushi-Ya Japan

This cozy place is right in the heart of downtown Milton. We've been here for both date night and family night -- loved both experiences -- and can say with confidence that it's the best sushi in the area. I'm not sure but this place feels family-owned. The servers always give a warm welcome and the chef makes the sushi rolls with love. Instead of toys they have a little bookshelf for the kiddies and sell children's training chopsticks. I'll keep coming back.

Had to hit it just one more time before we move next week! Been going here for a few years and its without a doubt the best Sushi. Even on the busiest night of the year they did not disappoint. The Chef even took time to come out and say hi and make sure we're happy. This isn't all-you-can eat but you'll be full trust me. This place is about quality and pride in what they serve. The seafood portions are excellent and I'd let the Chef perform surgery on me his slices are that good. This is the first place I ate at when I came to Milton and it'll be the last. Going to miss it. It was decent. Not many sushi places in Milton so this is as good as it gets. We were sitting next to two very loud moms complaining about their lives. But the food was there to drown out their voices. The prices were the big problem for me.. it was too expensive and not worth the price. Quality was pretty good but does not justify the price. If you’re really craving sushi that’s above average and have a little extra change Sushi ya is the place for you

I have been going to Sushi-Ya Japan since they opened in Milton 13 years ago. The sushi has always been Grade-A fresh, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is always spectacular, the staff has been wonderful and we have built a relationship with them throughout the years. They have essentially seen their customers grow up. When you go, it's good to keep in mind that this is a family run business. And they've got it figured out. The sushi is unbelievably fresh, the portions are the perfect size for the cost and everyone is friendly. I'd say I order from there at least once a week - and I'd rather eat great quality sushi than an all you can eat place with sub-par sushi. Over the years, I've shared my favourite restaurant in Milton with friends, family and coworkers. Do the same!

Good local sushi, small and cozzy. Menu is ok, lunch is ok, everything is OK but nothing outstanding. Since there are very few options in town, this should be your best hit.
