Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio

Beautiful welcoming sunny patio was perfect to enjoy this seafood platter for two and crab taco. The food was so very good, fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff are lovely and explain each dish when delivering to your table. Some yummy drink choices available as well. A really great spot. Will absolutely return.

The overall experience was good. I went on a Sunday for lunch with some friends, seafood products were very fresh but I found the portion of cebiche small, the seafood tower for 4 people was expensive regarding the amount of portion minuscule mussels. The acevichado roll was delicious and the lobster and shrimp risotto very tasty. We asked for two different desserts, I particularly preferred tres leeches because picarones were not well done, I just liked the lucuma ice cream in that dessert. We ordered pisco sour as well, it was ok but kind of strong. I realized that the lunch menu from the website was not the same offered in the restaurant which is a shame cause I wanted to ask for the seafood pasta, Peruvian style paella and Peruvian pork belly sandwich. The service was good an the prices for some dishes kind of expensive. Being honest, I was expecting more.

Nice waterfront dining location, too bad it was too cold to enjoy the patio. My favourite item we tasted was the scallops, good contrast of flavours and textures, but the tacos were a miss for me. The menu is nice and big, it also has a sushi section too I couldn't taste it. The service was good.

I took my parents out for my mom's birthday dinner. We managed to make a reservation the morning of since other restaurants were already fully booked. Upon arriving, the host couldn't find my reservation so another hostess came by and instantly found our reservation. We ordered the Grilled Octopus to start, then both my parents ordered the Short Ribs, and I ordered the Scallops & Lobster. The Grilled Octopus was the best dish of the night, but the Short Ribs were alright, but the worst dish was the Scallops & Lobster. For $46, I expected more than 2 scallops and there was very little lobster in the dish. I left still feeling hungry. All the dishes were served luke-warm at best and the plates were cold to the touch. Overall, the service was good, but the food is mediocre and overpriced - therefore, I probably won't be coming back.

Went here for a company party. The lingcod and quinoa salad were fantastic! Full of flavour and beautiful presentation. Tenderloin was okay. Tuna tartare was also delicious. Sour cocktails were good. Service was attentive and friendly. Would come back here for a special occasion. Seafood dishes are great, whereas the beef dishes are a miss.

I booked a reservation here for a friend's birthday. I called in advance and asked them to add a dessert to my bill. I specified that I'd like "happy birthday" written on the plate for my friend. The male who answered said they were out of melted chocolate but would do something special to make up for it. We arrived on a weekday and it was rather quiet, which was expected. We were greeted and seated quickly. In short, the service from our server was great but the food wasn't anything special. We ordered oysters, hamachi carpaccio, and a the Dungeness crab roll to start. For my entree, I ordered the 6oz tenderloin not pictured. The best part of our meal was the dessert. We ordered Peruvian donuts picarones. Delicious. I'd also like to add that although the restaurant said they'd do something small for my friends birthday, they never did. Very disappointing. The 3 stars are for our friendly, amazing server and the picarones but wouldn't recommend.

Food is good however they don’t have the right technique of cooking duck. The duck skin is not rendered properly so it’s not crispy and has some fats in it. But the dish is flavourful and presented nicely. The service is good and the place is cozy.

Went there for my work's Christmas party so we got a group menu versus the regular menu. All the food that we got was great. My favourites are the Shrimp and the tiramisu. The service was excellent. We would definitely come back but only for special occasions.

Great dinner and great service. The Ancora Glacier was awesome and I loved the tenderloin which you can custom order. Will definitely be back.

had an enjoyable night eating here! my friends and i ate here and watched the sun set at the patio! and i'm telling you, the view is absolutely great! you definitely want to come check here out. 10/10!
