Bright, cozy Japanese restaurant on Danforth Greek Town. First time trying Monkey Sushi at this location. Great customer service. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Tried their 28 pieces sashimi & sushi combo, bbq eels lovers combo and their signature shrimp tempura. Each combo came with a bowl of miso soup and a mixed green salad. Sashimi and sushi were fresh and delicious. Assorted tempura came with 3 pieces of shrimp and 6 pieces of veggie. They were crispy, hot and cooked perfectly. Their Japanese green tea was charged separately. We ordered 2 and were not aware being charged till we received the bill. Overall experience was good. Will definitely visit again to other dishes on menu.

Budget friendly sushi restaurant. For the money you pay, you get plenty of food. Would it be same quality as $200 omakase course meal? Definately not. Was salmon on my sushi paper thin? Yes. Was it relatively fresh though? Yes. It was interesting to find out depending on where you order from, even though it is the same set menu, price, quantity and item choice vary. I was initially planning to take advantage of 1+1 Uber Eats deal, then I realized that you actually get a better deal from Doordash. Doordash deal was even better than ordeing from Monkey Sushi website. Monkey Special set C $16.95. Picked 5 pcs of salmon sushi, 5 pcs of tuna sushi, 1 gold dragon maki6. Matsu Box$20.95. 1 green dragon maki6, 3 salmon sashimi, 5 pcs of sushi salmon, tuna, tilapia but they call it red snapper , crab & shrimp, 2 shrimp & 4 veggie tempura, 1 fried dumpling, 1 spring roll, 1 pork katsu & rice. They also provided 2 miso soup almost tasted like some kind of broth I got another $5 off and ended up paying $37.18 for pick up service not delivery. Was shocked by amount of food when I picked up. It literally made 4 meals. Would I order it again if I crave for sushi but I don’t want to break my bank? Yes, I will.

Ordered delivery via ubereats buy one get one free offer and it was decent for what we got, keeping in mind it was pretty much half price, costing us $40 instead of $80. Order was timely and arrived within the given time window. The monkie special set includes 1 hand roll, and your choice of a few pieces of nigiri or rolls. We got the sea dragon roll which was pretty good and had quite a bit of eel and avocado. The nigiri sushi was pretty good as well. Overall everything was pretty fresh upon delivery. Our favourite was the hot fusion roll. It's sort of a torched salmon roll and was very flavourful. So for $40, this was definitely worth it. If they didn't have the BOGO offer.. Debatable.

Had a terrible experience when i picked up some salmon sushi from this place. I used to order from this place once every few months and get average quality sushi but most recently, the salmon on top of the sushi looked like it was sliced with a cheese grater. The thinest slices of fish i've ever seen considering they advertise full-length thick pieces of salmon on their website but don't deliver nearly the same quality.

Despite some recent reviews, we found the staff incredibly friendly, and the wait time very reasonable. The portions are very generous, and dishes were really tasty. We were very pleased with all that we ordered. Looking forward to when we can dine in...

In terms of take-out this place knows what it is doing for sure. I don’t know how they are able to keep prices so low for what they give you but it’s impressive. I feel the Owner as well as all the staff here do an amazing job. I am not one to thank all the staff at 1 location for such good service but feel all the staff here deserve a heartfelt thank you for doing such an amazing job. This is one of the best places I have ordered from and I appreciate your service every time. Thank you all for what you do, your hard work is noticed. For what people get here I think it is worth it and it shows. There is quality here but there is also quantity for what you are getting so can’t really compare this to upscale places so wanted to leave an honest review. I learned how to make sushi at a young age for a few years and studied it but I don’t specialize in it so I appreciate whoever makes this anywhere. Thank you. Chef Cj

Terrible overcooked mushy rice was served for an entire party tray, making the entire tray inedible. Reasoning gave was they were busy and rushed orders. Only offered to give 15% off our next order. Edit: Spent $100 in total, order included Fried vegetable and chicken udon noodles, and it was mushy as well. My baby enjoyed it though. Won’t be coming back here even if they offered free rolls.

The food is good. I didnt expect to get this much for the very decent price we paid for Uber eats. The specials deals help of course with the price. Under $100 for 3 adults delivered and still some left for lunch the next day for my wife. I will definitely order again or go there in person to eat. I highly recommend giving them a try. Cheers

Value: Monkey Sushi on the Danforth always has the best deals on Uber. I recommend ordering from there. My last visit was on Dec 10th 2022 for an Uber order for pick up. Service: They were quick with the preparation and had everything ready by the time we arrived. The staff handing us our well packaged food, was friendly and efficient. They rarely make mistakes with online orders as well, which speaks to the level of organization at this location. Food: Delicious and fresh! Rice to filling ratio for their rolls is perfect. Not too much rice, and generous amounts for their filling. Their torched rolls are my personal favourite. Packed with flavour! They are well packaged as well with generous amounts of soy sauce and Wasabi. Vibe: The restaurant looked a bit crowded in the front area with only two booths but there appears to be more seating at the back. We didn't eat in to determine the full atmosphere, but it seemed busy, at least in the front portion of the restaurant. Accessibility: Didn't notice an accessible ramp. There is a single curb before reaching the double doors entrance. Parking: No parking specifically for the restaurant. Street parking only where available. Overall review: Definitely a recommend!

Definitely deserves more than a 3.8 rating.. great sushi and price lots of great 2 for 1 specials on Uber!. Our fav is the pressed salmon sushi - so bomb!
