Super 8 Sudbury ON

Terrible. I go in there and it smells like smoke. Gangster like people outside. Burnt bedsheets (looks like its from cigarettes). One man show. We ask for towels, we get 1 an hour later. Breakfast was trash. I would suggest spending a bit more at the nearby Holiday Inn, as they care.

I am a very fair person. I didn't have high expectations--didn't expect fancy decor, fluffy towels, or an overly comfy bed... but the one thing regardless of price point or star-rating I always expect is cleanliness. And my room was not clean. When I walked into my room, my first impression was good until I took a couple steps in and and realized the decent decor was covering up an unkept room. The bathroom was okay and the bed itself was fine, but the carpet and rest of the bedroom was really dirty. The carpet was dirty--not concerned about old stains but the loose debris, clearly not been vacuumed well by any means recently. The cupboards and drawers of the microwave, fridge, night stand, tv stand, dresser was all full of dust, dirt, food crumbs etc. I kept my stuff in my suitcase and just showered and slept in the bed. I actually wore my outdoor boots around the room because I wasn't comfortable walking around in socks or barefoot. Just stayed here for two nights. I had purchased the two nights through Expedia. When I arrived I had accidentally booked for the next weekend, and the lovely lady working the front desk guided me through calling expedia and getting it sorted so I could stay this weekend without losing my money, so that was a positive I appreciated. Oh and also there was no remote control for the tv in the room and no "do not disturb sign" to put on the door (I looked everywhere for both). I have another two nights to stay in Sudbury and chose to look elsewhere.

As two women travelling, security and cleanliness are important to us. The back door lock on the property was broken and our room was two doors in. Cigarette butts and garbage were strewn all over the property. The cable cord was loose which meant after 8 hours of driving, we had no tv to relax with as the signal was horrible. In the morning when we checked out, a man was sitting just outside the front door...2 feet...SMOKING....HE WAS THE GENERAL MANAGER!??!! I was absolutely appalled...I told him how very disappointed we were with the lack of security and appearance of the property and he really didn't care. So, if the General Manager of the property has such a poor attitude, then that reflects down on the staff. I would never recommend this place.

Super 8 Sudbury was honestly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and extremely good staff service! During my stay I left my wallet and the fantastic staff and Sudbury made sure it got all the way back to my home in Manitoba safe and sound. Some might say Super 8 is a budget hotel but I'll have you know, Super 8 Sudbury had fantastic quality even at such an affordable price. Thanks Super 8!

It's fine. Good enough to sleep in. Free breakfast is good, though all junk food. Staff are friendly. Value Hotel. Fridge and microwave in the room. Free wifi. Old smoking sections still smell like old smoking sections, even though nobody smokes indoors anymore.
