Friendly and accommodating staff. Unfortunately, we stayed here at the same time as several young hockey teams. The players ran through the halls and the parents were loud and partying in rooms. That being said, the staff were run off their feet dealing with the teams but managed to maintain their good hunor. The room was large, clean and comfortable.

Heads up! the last time I stayed there i thought the pool was deep! I guess 11 years makes a difference in memories! My kids are much older now.. and well the pool is shallow..perfect for kids under 6...rooms air conditioning was on when we arrived whew! Thank you! So hot this summer! Good breakfast spread...right up until it closed the serving area! Kids loved the waffles! Easy and quick check-in and check-out...comfortable and well kept room.

The theme room was very well done, but the chlorine levels in the pool and an inadequate ventilation system made every guest cough uncontrollably. One child from my group, and one from the other group threw up coughing so hard. The front desk that night was very apologetic and explained that it is on an automatic system and previous complainants left the door open to help air flow. The next morning the door seemed to help a little bit but all the kids kept having to step out gasping for air. When we checked out the front desk person was quite rude, rolled her eyes and refused to make eye contact, made one statement about her manager not being there, her not being able to do anything about it and refused to acknowledge anything else further being said on the subject.

Beautiful hotel!it was decorated to the nines for Christmas. We had a big room with lots of good quality ammenitites, solid and fast wifi, big waterslide and a kids area in the pool. Staff were excellent, breakfast was hot. Will always stay here when in Castlegar, best Super8 I've ever been in.

If you're going to stay in Castlegar, stay here. The rooms are nice just request one that doesn't look at the pool.
