I would give this 10+ stars! We had such an amazing experience! Staff were all so great and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing but the best ! The pool and waterslide were so much fun! And the theme rooms!! We will definitely be making another trip from kelowna just to come back to this hotel to try out all the theme rooms!nSigned one big happy family !!
Unfortunately, our stay at this Super 8 was disappointing.nnThe cleanliness of the room was below what we expect from a hotel. On top of that, the ceiling fan was extremely loud, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep.nnWhat frustrated us the most was the housekeeping policy. We returned to our room one evening to find that the beds hadn’t been made and the room hadn’t been cleaned. only the towels were changed. We had never been informed at check-in that housekeeping is only provided every other day because the hotel is too busy. Instead, I had to go to the front desk to ask why our room hadn’t been serviced.nnIf this is the hotel’s policy due to staffing shortages or workload, guests should be informed before they check in—not left wondering if their room was simply overlooked. Clear communication would have avoided a lot of frustration.nnOverall, this stay did not meet the standard we expect from a hotel, and we would not choose to stay here again.
Our stay at Super 8 exceeded our expectations. Not only was the hotel affordable, but the service was exceptional from start to finish.nnA special thank you to Randal, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and always willing to help with anything we needed. His outstanding hospitality truly made a difference.nThe complimentary breakfast was simple but satisfying, and it was a great bonus to our stay.nnOverall, we had an amazing experience. If we find ourselves back in Castlegar, Super 8 will definitely be our first choice. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for great value and excellent customer service.
UPDATED:: emptying the trash does not constitute a room clean!! The manager told us we should get a clean every 3 days which includes ; vaccume, bathroom clean, kitchen clean and clean sheets. As you can clearly see I'm her response that didn't happen once. Also apparently leaving a sweater on the bed means they can not make it! The manager just proved my point. I do not think 3 nights refund is too much to ask for staying 9 and never getting a proper room clean.nnWe stayed here for 9 nights and not once did they clean our room. They told us that emptied the trash. That's what they considered cleaning my room. The double charged me for a night I actually ended up leaving. I would not stay here ever again. The hot tub was always cold the pool was never cleaned and the rooms were not well kept. We had to ask for towels multiple times as well as we ran out of toilet paper and it was never replaced.
Check in was smooth. You get a coupon for Mr.Mikes next door for a free appie with purchase of an entree which was nice. The pool was disgusting. It had a slimy film on the bottom and it was so hot in there you couldnt breathe. It was very dirty and run down, all the metal in the room had rust everywhere, even running down the walls. The hot tub was also dirty and the jet function was broken. We ended up going to the local community center to swim 3 minute drive away the rooms aren't very soundproof. Was woken up at 5 am to random door slamming and people talking. The beds were comfy but the bathroom was very outdated and in need of some upgrading. My shower curtain was hanging on by a thread. The room had a coffee maker and small fridge. The A/C worked wonderfully! Upon arrival my bed sheets were dirty! but the front desk promptly brought up a fresh change of sheets. The breakfast in the morning is your standard muffins, toast, waffles, juice, cereal ect. While it was a reasonable price to stay for 2 nights. I will not be booking here again when I come back to the area.
