Sandman Hotel Castlegar

We've stayed here a few times. The rooms are always clean, and the beds are comfortable though I recommend bringing your own pillow if you have neck issues. The decor is dated but the rooms are a decent size and quiet. There is a very nice pool and I think there is a hot tub. We would stay there again.

Had a lovely stay! The rooms were cozy, clean, and really pleasing to the eye — perfect for relaxing after a long day. All the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A special shoutout to René at the front desk — always welcoming with a big smile and incredibly helpful. Thank you for making our stay extra comfortable!

What looks like a concrete bunker is actually Castlegar’s best kept secret. Thank you Sandman! An overnight stay on the back to Vancouver, we used the pool and hot tub night and morning, we enjoyed a well thought out continental breakfast, the room was updated and clean and comfortable. Love the classic pool in the middle of the hotel thing, nobody builds them like this anymore :. Thank you for an excellent stay, see you again soon!

On a road trip thru the kootenays stayed in castlegar to use as a home base. This hotel has lots of parking so big trucks use the adjacent lot for parking it can get loud at times not all the time but this is kind of expected being in a city with lots of industry aroundnRooms are nice sized and clean and cared fornBeds are super comfy. Like a dream! Good linens and an ac unit that works and comfy solid pillows with extras if needednThe bathroom in our room was updated with a deep tub and stylish faucets and finishings. Husband and i both liked the tub bathroom was a bit small for such a nice tub but manageablenThey are currently renovating so theres some.dust on the bottom level and we think they must be updating the bathrooms but its quiet during the day and the hotel.is big enough that they could move you out of the area if you complained. Parking is abundantnStaff are kind and helpfulnPlace is clean and solid. Cant comment on breakfast as we never tried itnWed stay here again and would recommend it you will sleep well if you stay herenAnd then theres the atrium pool its beautiful and wasnt used we had to take advantage and are so glad we didnThank you sandman castlegar for doing it right!!

Absolute cess pool from the mildew smell in the rooms to the barely functioning key cards. The hotel staff are condescending and unhelpful. The breakfast is an absolute joke if you book on Expedia its not included, yet doesn't stipulate that anywhere. Stay somewhere else Im lucky there were no bed bugs in my room.
