Place has no sound proofing I've stayed in a lot of hotels with bad soundproofing, this was like people are in the room with you. Which might be fine if everyone is quiet, but we had a neighbor up partying until 6am, called the front desk multiple times they said they'd called them which was a lie, we could hear everything going on in that room, no call, no door knock and that we couldn't change rooms cause they were fully booked which was a lie, we could book another room online.nnSo it's cheap but a gamble. And being lied to is frustrating.
Room was nothing like the pictures shown, bed was fine for one night then slowly turned you into a shrimp, no privacy sign, and nearly impossible to take a shower due to the hot water going cold randomly and having a bath was also near impossible due the stopper not knowing it needs to stop water. Me and my significant other left a day early just to go somewhere else.
Car broke down and we were forced to spend the night. They had a room that was pet friendly. I had told the front desk staff of our predicament, 4 people, 1 dog, and we were stranded. Front desk lady was nice and kind and tried to be helpful. The manager lady was rude, not only to me but others as well. Our room was very old and dated, coffee machine didn’t work and we could see daylight under the outside door! I would not recommend nor would I stay there again.
Probably the best value hotel in Castlegar. I've stayed in the Sandman, Super 8 and the Best Western This place is clean, reasonably priced, everything in the room just works. There are no heated toilet seats, or multi-function work stations, nothing fancy. But the hot water runs hot, the shower is what a shower should be, towels aplenty, comfortable beds, I can not fault this place at all. Family run, and you can tell. Even at 9pm on a night, they were clearing the snow on the paths and in the parking lot. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you
Great value, nice clean room : just stopped in for the night as we were passing through, friendly service at check in and lovely room. Had everything we needed with bed, TV, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc. Accessible through the lobby and through the outside of the building, plus vending and ice machines. Everything was clean and decently well maintained if not a tad rough around the edges, but it did the job and we had an amazing stay!!
