Super 8 by Wyndham Red Deer

If I could give this place -5 stars, I absolutely would. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have this property associated with their name.nnFrom the moment you step past the lobby which is the only decent part you realize the true condition of this place. The hallways are filthy, the carpets clearly haven’t been vacuumed in a long time, stains everywhere, and the entire area reeks of cigarette smoke.nnOnce inside the room, things get even worse. There are patched holes in the walls, stains on the walls, black handprints on the door, and burn marks on the carpet. The carpets weren’t vacuumed, the sheets on one of the beds were visibly stained, and the bathtub even had burn marks, holes in the blankets, the curtains were see through so the outside lights shine through and don't cover the full window. For breakfast they gave a moldy apple and a stail muffin. It was honestly one of the most disgusting rooms I have ever seen and I’ve traveled the world and stayed in places in developing countries that were in far better condition than this.nnThis property needs to be investigated by AHS and possibly even the fire department. The staff were rude and struggled to communicate as they did not speak English.nnThis hotel should not be operating in this condition. I would never recommend it to anyone.

They turned their breakfast areas into a hang out for homeless people and do not serve breakfast but to be honest id already decided it was a bad idea to eat anything here if it was given as an option but it was not. We got stuck in their parking lots because they dont maintain it. Charged a $200 deposit told I would get it back the next day and it took 3 week to have it returned. Smoke filled halways cause my son to get sick staying here. I almost forgot to mention the guy in a ski mask that showed up at 5:30pm to beat up the guy staying two doors down from us.nnDO NOT STAY HERE! Super 8 should be ashamed they even put their name on the building.

Despite all the sockets in the room only one worked. We had to use an extension cord we had with us for it to be functional. On top of that the showers were dirty and uncleaned. And worst of all we found bed bugs. Now we need to wash everything. Check everything. Trying to book a bed bug sniffing dog in Calgary to make sure our children's theatre tour van has not been infested too. So shocked by the state of that place.

Actually deserves a ZERO....OMG What a dump! Motel is very, very rundown and in need of renovations. Stains noted on the carpet in the halls & in the rooms, not all the lights were working in my room, pungent smell noted in the main stairway, more stains noted on the couch in our room, staff informed me there was no elevator, check-in took a while as there was only one person at the front desk, garbage also seen outside in front of the motel by the entrance. HERE'S THE HORRIBLE PART - I had provided my Driver's License upon check-in as per his request. I stayed only one night. I forgot to obtain my Driver's License from them which is on me. However, they also did not return my license, failed to contact me to inform me that they still had it, and denied having it when I called the next day to follow-up with my lost license. This business is SHADY! I returned to the motel immediately demanding to speak with the manager and got my license back. Had I not remembered about my license, they would have kept it, sold it, used it, etc. DO NOT STAY HERE FOR ANY REASON AT ALL!

This hotel is a dump. We were only on a quick overnight stay and figured we could stand it for one night. There were cigarette burns in the blanket and no toilet paper. But the gentleman at the desk gave me a new blanket and TP...however we then found this....
