Sunset Arena

This skating arena locates in the heart of south Vancouver next to Sunset community centre. Came here for a kid’s birthday party which was hosted in a warm room on the second floor for about 20 people. The room is quite dated, equipped with 3 long tables, chairs, fridge and a sink. It would be nice if they could do some basic Reno as that would attract more bookings from diverse groups of people. One cool thing about the warm room is that you could overlook the action of the skating arena through a window. If you like this review please give me a thumbs up

WORST RINK EVER!! The ice had gashes about 1 Foot wide and half a CM deep. There are many bumps across the ice. On top of that, this one staff member on the ice was very rude, she did not seem happy and showed attitude. I would NOT RECCOMEND coming here. It would be better off ggoing to a different rink nearby.

For $6.66 plus skates rental, the deal was awesome. Comes with 2hrs and 15 mins of intermission. Watch out for a few show-offs showing their prowess!

Very unpleasant experience. Came on a Tuesday around 4pm, and the place was packed. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to how many skaters can go on the ice, in this small ice rink. On top of that, COVID mask protocols weren’t enforced. There were about 10 adults not wearing a mask + chatting while skating in addition to all the “little” kids, while the staff just skated around. COVID outbreak waiting to happen. The front desk woman was also extremely rude! I asked if she can check my Onecard balance, and she yelled “next time”.
