I had tickets to Davis Cup Canada vs Brazil 2026 February 5 & 6 Tennis Event - awesome volunteers and Staff. Tennis BC and Tennis Canada ran a great event. Even had a protocol for allowing me to exit and return later due to some personal errands. I didn't expect that. Food variety and offering was great. Food tastes great. I have favorites - but best for you to try. Expect some prepared items and deep fried items also. Salad also offered. Food Staff are awesome to be so nice under such pressure from the lineup.nnSecurity was kind also. Thorough and suggestive.nnI will attend the next event again and refer others. Wow. Tennis matches were awesome to see. Players we're kind enough and permitted to sign autographs after. Event Souvenir available for purchase - great Volunteers. The Tennis was great. Lots of other activities other than the matches inside. Well organized. Please return to Vancouver. Welcome Visiting Team. You are half the formula. Visiting Canadian Players welcome also.nnPaid Parking nearby. A short walk and easy to play using apps - best to setup before hand. EasyPay or Uber/ Lyft or Car Ride/ Share or taxi or BC Public Transit are options and very convenient. Please check online. Highly accessible. May need some planning if you're visiting. Google maps works.nnWheelchair seats and access ready and wheelchair friendly. Special seating area planned.
I recently attended the Twins concert at Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, and the experience was fantastic! The venue’s layout is excellent, providing great views from every seat, and the seating itself was comfortable, ensuring a pleasant experience throughout the event.nnThe staff were professional, friendly, and well-prepared, handling the crowd efficiently and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The event was exceptionally well-organized, from ticketing to crowd control, making the evening stress-free and enjoyable.nnThe management did an outstanding job hosting such a large-scale event, and the energy in the venue was incredible. I highly recommend this venue for concerts and events—truly top-notch!
Amazing Staff — Shockingly Poor ManagementnnI came to skate on Saturday, and there was a hockey game right before the public skating session. Shockingly, the rink was not cleaned afterward. It felt like skating on rough snow rather than ice — completely unacceptable for a public session.nnUnfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed such mismanagement. Over the past year, they have repeatedly run out of wristbands and resorted to marking visitors’ hands with markers as a substitute.nnUBC should seriously reconsider the management team running this facility. The staff themselves are great, but the leadership is clearly failing.
Flew to Vancouver for Babymetal, landed 45 min before doors, cabbed there and sold my extra ticket, easy and separate floor access, very nice size concert venue. Floor was wet and slippery from ice under it/humidity, heat I am guessing. Not ideal for moshing... Yet did not seem to be a huge pain, was alright.nnSound, ah well it wasn't great but was not as head splittingly loud as the two previous shows I had attended at smaller venues, the bigger space helped and hindered maybe. Those smaller venues did have clearer/cleaner sound but this was acceptable.nnThe bands were five star, energy, moshing, stage set up. Always better with 20 foot flames.nnStaff were friendly and all seemed to know their jobs, fans were the usual friendly metal crowd.nnFive star show but sound could be better, sometimes it is the band's sound guys, not enough time to fine tune things to different venues... Lots of reasons but the venue should have a sound guy and put money into improving sound if it is a music venue as well as sports.nnAnd the slippery floor, maybe there was nothing that could be done. Maybe a large carpet for the mosh area? Tacked around the edges?nnMaybe I ask too much. I will definitely return for the right shows that don't come to Alberta.
Good vibe and really good sound system. I like this arena better than the other.
