Nice facility, but often crowded. The sauna is my favourite of all the City of Vancouver pools. The changerooms are nice and large. The staff at the front desk and on the pool deck are friendly. But the lap lanes of the pool are packed at weekday early morning, mid-morning, and evening -- I've found them to be the least crowded at mid-afternoon. The weight room / fitness centre is always packed. This city needs more rec centres!
Lots of amenities, including two types of saunas, steam and dry.nnThe cafe has lots of food options which is nice because you can grab solid lunch and dessert all in one place.nnThey also have free small lockers for valuables like phone and wallet if you don’t have a lock.nnThe only not so good thing is that at the aquatic centre swimming pool the non-swimming area of the deep pool it’s quite small and it gets even smaller when people want to start using the trampoline as they close off some areas.nnFun and strong lazy river for both adults and kids.nnIt would be great if the outdoor pool could be open now but apparently it’s not opening until July?nnEither way amazing amenities, clean, and modern.
First time I visited here and I was very impressed. There is a large parking lot with free parking for two hours. Entrance to the pool cost $4 per person. The pool area is equipped with chairs, wetsuits and pool toys for children. There are several swimming pools, including a heated jacuzzi pool. The place is clean and organized. Neat wardrobes with hair drying facilities. Highly recommended.
WAITING IN LINE FOR THE LAST 20 + minutes with a 6 month old. Sure it’s Sunday, but they’re stating they’re short staffed. They should be better prepared for the rush of people that the weekend brings to this centre.nAlso they say that they’re checking every 5 minutes to see if we can go in…. NO ONE HAS BEEN LET IN, in the last 25 minutes although we have seen numerous amounts of families leaving with their swimming stuff…. DO BETTER.
Hillcrest Aquatic Centre is located just a minute away from Queen Elizabeth Park and it has multiple sports and exercise facilities for those who like curling, skating, or hockey on the second floor you have access to the exercise room, and on the main floor is the pool Sauna hot room big jacuzzi and a deep pool for any kind of exercise or swimming, of course, the lazy river it's the fun part for the whole family or just enjoying for relaxation, some times on the weekends get quite busy.
