Walk up our flight of stairs and enter Madison's most beloved cafe. In house

made pastries, hot fair trade coffee & farm fresh eggs welcome our morning guests.

Lunch highlights include creative salads, sandwiches, soups & pastas all made fresh to order with an eye to detail.

Dinner features an array of international classics. Delicious vegetarian & vegan choices abound.

Pastries are always a wise choice. We bake them each morning. Special order cakes, pies or pastries are always welcome.


We bake & deliver birthday or special occassion cakes for your university student.

Great loxation on State St. Big portion, affordable. Big latte for a great price, better than big name S*. Cozy & warm & quiet enough to talk. Nice meeting place for brunch.

My friends and I got some chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes in addition to the lox scrambler. The pancakes were delicious and the lox scrambler was pretty good as well. Atmosphere is nice and cozy with a great view overlooking State St

One of my favorites for breakfast!! They have awesome scones and muffins! Fresh!!
So if it's Monday morning in Madison and you're looking for breakfast on State Street, this is one of you're few options with Short Stack being closed. Cute little place, not super easy to find, upstairs overlooking the street. My breakfast sandwich was very good, but just not enough service to justify the price in my opinion.
I love Sunroom Cafe. The food is so inexpensive and so tasty. I work at a hotel and recommend this place to everyone. The huevos rancheros are so good here but you can’t go wrong with anything.
