Delicious pastry that I discovered by accident. The service was super friendly and fast. I ordered a sausage pastry with hot sauce and found my new favorite fast food in the city. The pastry was still hot and delicious with its egg and cheese filling. This shop is a great spot for quick, tasty, and cheap food. Loved it and will be back!
We've lived in the Madison area for 7 years, and I'm sad we just now discovered Teddywedgers. The Chickpea Curry Handpie was phenomenal, and one of the best curries I've ever had. I was so happy there was a vegetarian option! My husband loved his cheesy, pepperoni one. We'll definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Chickpea Curry Handpie was phenomenal.
Satisfying meal for a great price. Every flavor they offer is great, but the best part is the service. Every time I go in they treat me like an old friend. I've come to really appreciate this place on a bad day. P.s. Breakfast pasties are an excellent hangover cure.
Wow the chicken pot pie pasty was amazing! The staff were all super friendly and personable. Get there early to snag a breakfast pasty. They were unfortunately sold out when we got there the regular options were all delicious though, so no major disappointment there. Just means we will have to go back again!Food: 5/5
There are not enough words to say how much I have come to love Teddywedgers. I am here on a good week at least two or three times this is not including how often people bring me a pasty knowing it's my favorite. The owners and the staff alike are incredibly kind and hard working individuals. I've left here feeling like I'm leaving a friend's house on numerous occasions. These are great people making great food. As for the pasties, it is shocking how obsessed I have become. I highly encourage you to always ask about the special, as you are sure to be met with something that is out of the box in terms of creativity, piping hot and insanely tasty. If the special isn't what you're looking for I often go for the Southwest for breakfast and the Chicken Pot Pie or the Sweet Potato for lunch/dinner. That being said, I frequently make sure to rotate my choices as every option is brilliant and I could never choose just one favorite. The handmade cookies are well priced and so good. On the occasion that they have dessert specials I like to grab one as well because they are -surprise- amazing. They even have a cool collection of sodas I don't tend to see other places and Slide chips locally made and delicious potato chips in a massive range of flavors. If you like hot sauce make sure to ask the cashier what their recommendation is. If you want mine, I like the Sauer's and the Zesty Tobasco. Have I mentioned the price? A full pasty for less than $10 has certainly fueled my twedge craze these last few months. Teddywedgers holds a very special place in my heart. I am fortunate to be located so closely and to have been warmly embraced by the crew. If there is any review worth leaving, it is to say that I am beyond enthralled with this classic Madison gem.
I'm glad there is place local to get pastys! Quick in and out, was still hot even having a 40 minute drive before I could eat themFood: 5/5
The man who greeted me was super nice. The food had good portion size. Not the highest quality. I'm from the U.P. so it's hard to critique pasties, how do French critique croissants, or an Italian critique wine, etc. I had the chicken pot pie and traditional. So unique! The traditional however had mashed rutabaga vs good chunks...which made it more like a mashed up mess. The chicken pot pie did have a lot of cheese that seemed to predominate one end of the pastie. The bread also was folded, making it too substantial to consume for some portion.
The food here is absolutely incredible. $10 for a full breakfast pastry with fresh eggs mixed with well seasoned vegetables. The pastry was huge and the value was awesome. I barely was able to finish it and now I feel full for the entire day. Very happy that I came here and I highly recommend this family establishment.
A tasty & hearty treat. Super friendly staff. The Spicy Traditional had a lingering kick... Was perfect! Highly recommended for a quick breakfast or lunch.Recommended dishesSpicy Traditional
Love this place!! So filling and it doesn't break the bank. It's healthy food, freshly made, and tastes good left over if you can stop yourself from eating it all. Dietary restrictions: I do not eat cheese or added sugars. While I can't say for sure that they don't include any added sugars, I can say that I don't get that bad/weird taste in my mouth after eating their pasty like I do when I eat added sugars. There is definitely a very tasty pasty without cheese.
