Sun Star Chinese

This is a really good Chinese restaurant I come for pick at least once every month, I've actually come and ate breakfast a few times was good. One of my favourite dishes here definitely is the ginger beef and white rice, definitely a good one to try if you come eat here, other than that they serve all the regular kind of westernized Chinese food items. Friendly staff and fast service.

Seriously a great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to stop by again and try out more of their menu! my partner had a classic grilled ham and cheese and I had their made in house cheeseburger! Just salt and pepper, and the guy in the back has been making it the same way for 20 years says Heidi who was our waitress! Outstanding simple homemade food. Their wonton soup is awesome! So tasty. We placed our order with Sun Star this morning for a big office farewell lunch. The order was delivered on time, hot and each dish clearly marked. Everyone said it was delicious. Thank you for the great food and service. Vegetarian options: Stir fried vegetables with lots of variety!

Been ordering out from them for years. If you like the greasy/crunchy /crispy style Canadian-Chinese food you more then likely had as a kid here in Canada.. this is your place! Always great and the driver is super friendly. pro tip.. if it's your Birthday he'll wish you a very happy Birthday!

The best Chinese food I’ve eaten in 5 years! Flavours were really tasty it didn’t all taste the same, plus lots of different veggies, a wonderful meal!

Edit: Called them but nothing happened. Was told Owner/Manager is never there so I couldn't get anything sorted out as per the response below. Will be very honest here - it's definitely more American Chinese food which is fine of course, but heads-up to people who want more authentic Chinese food. Regardless of style, the ginger beef we got was stale and the kung Pao chicken was watery see photo and actually had almost no flavour, which is definitely not right, whether Chinese or American Chinese. The chicken pieces were also way too big for "Ji ding." Food was alright before so not sure what happened today. Wouldn't usually give 1 star to a restaurant which I had an okay experience before, but this kung Pao chicken actually tastes so bland it seems like something a 12 year old would make better, hence the 1 star.

We often come here for brunch and lunch specials. My go to is eggs bennie. They moved adjacent to Ramada hotel on Lougheed highway in Coquitlam.
