We had a wonderful experience at Sula! There were 9 of us ladies and we had a delightful table that fit us all comfortably! We shared all our dishes and each of us ordered a cocktail or mocktail and they did not disappoint! All the dishes we ordered were flavourful and a good size. Service was attentive and helpful! The ambience is delightful! We enjoyed ourselves immensely!
Sula on Main is so good.nnThe staff are super friendly and gave great recommendations that absolutely hit. The portions are huge, the pricing is very fair, and everything we ordered was packed with flavour. The naan was so good we ordered a fresh batch just to take home.nnIt’s the kind of place you want to go back to as soon as you leave.nnCan’t wait to go again.
Firstly, this is one of the few Indian restaurants that I found to be worth going on a Friday evening for drinks and dinner. This place definitely has better ambience, music and drinks.nnFood on the other hand is more or less okay. I mean the food and menu I believe is highly optimised for non-Indian folks’ tastes. We ordered a vegetarian and chicken entre. I definitely had better tasting food in some other places. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even eat even one piece of chicken appetiser and we didn’t even dare to pack it home. The vegetarian one on the other hand is okay, but I was expecting something else.nnBefore we ordered our main course,nI requested chef to make it spicy. Chef was kind enough to customise our curry. And it tasted great.nnThis review is kind of a meta-note to myself, to confirm with the chef about my own preferences.
I had high hopes for Sula Indian Restaurant, but the experience was mixed. Despite making a reservation, we were given very uncomfortable seats—our table was wobbly and placed right under strong sunlight, which made it hard to even keep my eyes open. I asked one server for ice cubes, but was completely ignored.nnAs for the food, I might not be fully accustomed to Indian cuisine, but I found the main dishes overly salty, though they were still quite flavorful. My Indian friends commented that the food was fairly authentic, but agreed the seasoning could be better balanced. The tandoori chicken had great spices but was unfortunately too dry.nnOverall, a disappointing dining experience in terms of comfort and service, though the food had some redeeming qualities. And we also found hair in our dish.
I give a glowing 5 stars review… We have dined in and ordered out several times and the food, service and atmosphere has been 10/10 and all the way.nnThis evening we ordered:nnChicken Korma 10/10nChicken Masala 10/10nGarlic Nan 10/10nOnion and Cilantro 10/10nMalai Chicken Tikka 2/10nnI was really surprised and disappointed at the lack of flavour with the Malai Chicken Tilkka. I was expecting wonderful flavours and this dish tasted like chicken, which was very succulent, but tastes like it had very little flavouring.nnEverything else, including the amazing complimentary mango dessert was absolute AMAZING!!! From our past experiences I can only give a 5 star review despite to Malai Chicken. Without question will order again.
