We went in for a quick bite and ended up having a full meal course. It's a gem in Windsor. I wonder why we have never been here before. The restaurant is cute and comfy with amazing service and ambiance. Food is the best. I don't really remember what we ordered but everything is so so good. MUST TRY!! Going back again for sure.
This was my first time at Sugar Marmalade in any city and it was a good first impression. The ambiance and decor are great. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was good. I gave only 4 stars because the Mango Pudding didn't live up to my expectations - I've had better at other places. Mango Pudding is one of my faves so I'm being extra picky. Other than that, I'd definitely return and try more of the menu; instead of just desserts.
Attention customers: Food: Ordered kimchi fries And green tea ice cream Prior ordering, asked the waiter if the fries are spicy or mild... she said OH ITS NOT SPICY AT ALL! Well it was super spicy that we couldn't even have more than 3 pieces. We asked to bring some water for us, it took another 15 mins. By then I spoke to the other waiter Me: " hey, before ordering this we asked your colleague and she said it's not spicy at all! However it's super spicy! " Waiter: " oh I see, well it's a preference. For some people is spicy, you know... let me bring a bowl of water so you can wash your fries" Me: "huh....ok-ayyyy..." The waiter comes with a bowl of water! Like am I suppose to bath my fries and enjoy the wet fries hoping the spices were washed off! Give me a break! What this place needs is a good CUSTOMERS SERVICE! Any other restaurant would have replaced the fries but I'm not sure if it was a cultural thing for them or if that's how the customer service work in Korea. Wouldn't recommend this place! Simply because we were treated so bad! Customer service 101 .. No satisfaction!
Really enjoyed our first visit here. We were just looking for something sweet after dinnerware. We ordered the green tea matcha Taiwanese shaved ice. It was one of the most delicious frozen desserts I've ever had! All the textures in the flavors were perfect. Service was great, very clean! Love the dessert decor! Can't wait to go back again! Update:. Went back and tried the konnyaku noodles with the matcha... Also very good!
I give 5 stars for the dessert, but a 2 for the braised pork belly and rice I got. My final rating is a 4, because they are first and foremost a dessert shop. As you can see, the braised pork belly just looks sad. So sad, that if you look a little closer, you can actually see the tears. My friends' dishes were not as sad, but just average. For both times that I went, service was just okay, but it's probably because they're understaffed. In conclusion, stick to what they're known for---dessert.
One of the best desert spot in windosr. Staff was really good. Its a korean dessert parlor but it also has snacks along with it. We ordered 2 different dessert. One dessert could easily suffice 2 - 3 person. We ordered a Taiwanese ice cream and a egg waffle. Bith were great.
Our new dessert place in Windsor, Awesome taste and variety for a sugar rush.best was my choice original coco jello. I could taste tender coconut pieces from the original coconut shell ,loved it !!!!! Green tea shaved ice with ice cream, marshmallow toast and Oreo Macau pudding Over all our experience was good. Kids enjoyed and wanted another visit soon.
I ordered through uber and it was my first time. I ordered cheese cake and tiramisu. Absolutely I will order again because It was one of the most delicious cheese cake and Tiramisu I've ever had!
This small restaurant near the university of windsor is a nice place for a small meal or dessert. In my opinion, it's nice having different culture incorporated into the city. The price ranges from $6 to $10 give or take. Got the honey sausages, shaved ice and something else. Would not recommend the honey sausage though but the other dessert was unique. Recommend trying, hours open late to midnight on Saturday but take cash or debit only
I’ve only been once but was completely blown away. The cleanliness and ambience of the restaurant was truly lovely. The staff was very friendly and worked swiftly. Even the plating of my dessert was beautiful. I cannot wait t go back
