Staff were friendly and efficient. Highly impressed with the level of cleaning and care they took while making a sandwich for someone who is celiac. The area was thoroughly cleaned, and the employee washed their hands and changed their gloves to avoid cross contamination.
Just visited the Chemainus Subway again, with some reservations, but they are they only "fast food" game in town. I should mention this was right at noon, they should have been primed for the lunch rush. Last time I was in I would swear the bun was not fresh that day. Same thing today, stale bun. The rest of the sandwich was good, even the tomatoes looked reasonably fresh this time. But wrap a stale bun around it and all is lost. Such a shame, used to be able to count on this franchise. Went into the local Subway last night around supper time. Was served by a very polite and friendly young man who made us two wonderful Italian BMT's I'm addicted to these on fresh Italian herb bread still warm from the oven. The service was good and the sandwiches were excellent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the lettuce, seems like the lettuce at most Subway Restaurants is often a little brown around the edges. But that did not stop us from enjoying our delicious sandwiches.
It's a subway. Staff are friendly and quick. Coffee is good and it's a good place to have a small business meeting 3 to 4 people. While the bathrooms are clean they really need to work on the parking lot and entry, they are always messy and need attention. The staff however are friendly and customer centric. Makes up for the mess outside.
Have to order through app only to use coupons which I find annoying... Most fast-food have things set up to use app in store but not subway. Discourages me from stopping in... Too bad. Parking: Parking can be an issue, when busy not alot of spots... Maybe 5?

Absolute gem of a subway. Friendly staff, excellent food, and a great atmosphere. I had gone in to order a sandwich but turned out I ordered the wrong one by mistake because I was busy on the phone. After realizing, the lady dealt with this problem with the utmost generosity and respect by offering me to correct my order even tho she had finished and wrapped the sandwich. Overall, one of the best subway restaurants I’ve visited. Hats off to the management team, you got yourself a beauty here‼
Nice fast food place to dine in while on a road trip. Quite a few places are take out only in this area so this was a good choice.
