Style Encore Oakville

Went here today a Sunday with a large bin of items and took them about 45 minutes to sort through it. They were very thoughtful and careful when sorting, and the staff members who helped me were lovely. I got good value on the items I brought in, and picked up a gorgeous Coach purse that I didn’t need mind you with 15% off as it was a weekend. Will definitely return and would recommend.

First time coming to this store. First impressions when walking in: Disorganized and unfriendly. Staff seems stressed out. Not a hospitable vibe at all. I had a bunch of business clothing to sell. They refused it because I had it in a garbage bag. They said it was policy very pretentious and stupid policy by the way, and they sent me away. I had driven all the way to Oakville for this. I will not be back. I would highly recommend the Mississauga location. Much better customer service there.

They have a decent selection, but I find the staff to be less than hospitable. It might be nice clothes, but it is still second-hand retail. Stop acting like the mean lady in Pretty Woman. Treat each individual as they treat you.

For what it’s worth, I don’t agree that the customer service is poor- everyone I dealt with was kind and efficient. What really shocked me was the condition of the clothing here - many of the pieces I looked at including those in displays!!!! had visible stains, holes, or were pilled. My mom and I both enjoy thrifting and visit many stores throughout the GTA, and the condition of clothing here is by far the worst we’ve seen. Additionally they sell so much Joe Fresh and H&M, which you can buy new for the same price they’re selling secondhand items for. Based on the history here, I’m sure they’ll write a defensive response to this post. This is not an opinion, I’m just factually stating that many pieces my mom and I looked at and would have been interested in were damaged.

I went in this location on December 12th as I haven't visited since before the pandemic. I always frequent the Hamilton and Burlington stores. The whole time I was in the store no one greeted me...asked if they can assist me. I know they saw me as I walked past and looked at them. They were speaking amongst themselves. I left the store and I will NEVER return.

Terrible place ,never buy online .pictures and comments on pics are not true and deceiving customers . Purchased a bag posted as gently used and when I received it the leather is off on some places which didn’t show on the post .when I sent the owner NIM is her name .she started a defensive action and that it’s final sale ,i paid 95 $ for sth that is gently used n came out as if it had been used for ages .owner is aggressive and unfriendly . Paid my order on Monday n they said will be shipped on Thursday n on Thursday they said we were so busy next Monday will be shipped . Bottom line Avoid this place !!!! I brought in a few business casual dresses from places like Jacob, H&M and Reitman’s examples pictured, and after a 30 minute drive there and a wait time of an hour and a half, they took zero items! The service and explanations were not even friendly... won’t be going back because even after browsing the whole store, there was nothing that seemed worth the prices. They seem very defensive and don’t care about the customer experience.

I have sold and bought a lot of items over the past few years to this location. I appreciate Nim and thank her staff for always being genuinely kind and helpful. Lots of Marc Jacobs, and great selection on the Louis Vuitton merchandise.

The staff were very pleasant when I popped in today. I had some items for sale and they took a pass - which is fine. I've sold many things over the years and it's not personal. They take what they they can sell and they are currently bursting at the sesms in there. I think they need to have a sale . What I was surprised at was the condition and price of some items. For instance I spied an Eloquii Elements dress BNWT priced at $35 I own a similar one - this brand was sold at Walmart as a test maybe 3 years ago. And their used price was more than the original full price. I also spied some well worn old navy shoes for $27 - like they likely were that price brand new. People shop "thrift" to get a deal. I was a bit disappointed by the pricing and value for money. Also you won't find much plus size here. Better luck online.

Refuse to come to this location anymore. They sold 2 items on me when I was ready and waiting to pay or on my way. I even paid and picked stuff up and things like the original box it was advertised with was missing. Don't know if it was the one of the mangers or the owner that is a sad, sour disgrace of a human being. So rude everytime I've been in and is the last person that should be working with people.
