It's Simple! Bring in your recently laundered clothing and accessories that are 1 -1.5 years old and taking up valuable room in your closest. Our expert buyers will go through your items and chose to purchase certain pieces based upon our locations demand for them, the condition of them, and their brand /style ( we buy today's trends not yesterday's flashbacks).
Our computer software determines the sale price of your items which in turn is how we generate your immediate cash payout. There is No appointment necessary and there is no restriction as to how many items you can bring in at one time. It is on a first come, first served basis, and it usually takes 15-20 minutes to assess your items and generate a quote. Come on in and turn your clothes into instant cash.

Don't waste your time bringing any brand name/new items here to sell. They will tell you that your items are worn or not on trend. I was offered an extremely low price to sell brand name items that I can sell for significantly higher on my own. I think it's only worth it to sell items that you're okay accepting an extremely low offer on. After browsing the store it looks like they price most items between $10-16. Therefore, expect low offers.
I'm obsessed! These stores have been popping up all over Canada which I'm really grateful for because I'm new here and thrift almost all my clothes. They have a wide variety of clothing and it's constantly changing throughout the seasons. They are selective about the clothes they take in so the quality is generally really nice. I'd rather pay $40 for five things at a thrift store then $40 on one thing at name brand; it's personal preference really. I highly recommend it.
I love this location! They have the best clothes and try to have great pieces for all sizes which is awesome. They have good prices and the staff is super kind : I’m always happy to shop at Plato’s Oakville!!
A lady came in and was unhappy idk what happened anyway I asked the cashier if they had something similar to something I seen and wanted off their Instagram that got sold. The cashier then gave me that same energy the customer gave her. I wasn’t rude I simply asked a question, and got sass from the employee. Just because someone gives you attitude doesn’t mean you give it to the next customer. Can we all try to talk to each other with respect? Employees & customers it’s not that hard. Customer service jobs can be hard I understand, but as a waitress I’m more than understanding. If you can’t handle the occasional sassy customer then maybe this isn’t the job for you.
Came in to the Oakville location for the first time tonight to sell some clothes/ shoes etc and was very dissatisfied with the results. Most of my clothes were brand names. Celvin cline, guess , Aldo , addias h&m. All my clothes were in good condition and would have easily sold at this location. I was told they were outdated . Witch makes no sense considering when I was looking around while waiting for my clothes to be checked I found alot of things on the shelf that were similar to the clothes I was trying to sell. Not to mention they had they exact same pair of aldo dress shoes on their shelf that had scuffs and scratches on them and the pair I had to sell were in better shape then those ones and was denied. Most of there clothes that they sell our " outdated" so to say the least I will not be coming back here. Worst experience I have had! Not to mention I had lots of clothes with tags on them still and was still denied. I would advise anyone who is trying to sell there clothes etc to be very careful of this location . They are very picky about everything .waste of time and money spend even going down here. And the stuff that they did except wasn't even worth the price they gave me . Very disappointed.
I am a serious thrifter however this was an awful experience. I went to ask to look / buy a product and the staff clerk I think Asian girl said no you cant buy it ...it goes to our Instagram followers first. She was so demeaning and rude I was not ok with it. And all the clothes I brought were not bought which is fine but wow the attitude was not necessary.
The employees at this store are amazing. Kind and willing to go above and beyond for the service of their customers. The employees always make the difference in a customer's shopping experience and they deserve 5/5 rating.
I stumbled upon this place from instagram. Their account caught my attention! This is my first thrift store experience in my whole life and surprisingly it went well for a beginner. Me and my family came here couple of times during the pandemic. Today, i went by to find new pair of pants. I got a few pants i liked especially that i bought black pant, which i don't usually buy often but this particular style was so nice so i had to get it! Everyone was so welcoming and nice. Love the place, you usually save good amount of money of the items you find at this location compared to the actual retail price. If you register to collect points or take a picture in their fitting room while trying on clothes, you get 10% discount and get points for not getting plastic bag when cashing out your finds! Highly reccomend this place and can't wait to come back again!
I really liked this place but there are just a few to many things that are truly annoying. If you are anything over a small the Instagram adds are for you, they only ever really post small or extra small. And it’s incredibly hard to sell to them, they really don’t take things, they will maybe take two or three things but they mostly just reject everything you give them even if it meets all their expectations.
Had the best experience shopping here! Wallace is a gem and was the greatest help!! I’m definitely driving 30 minutes to get to this Platos even though there’s one 5 minutes away from me. The experience was worth it all and I also came out with several great finds!
