I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The staff here are overworked but honestly try their best, and that’s all that can be asked of the people working here when the health system is struggling to find employees and funding. The emergency department runs well and we have had to use it a couple times for our kids. They are so good with kids and we don’t have to wait very long compared to what you hear about hospitals in major towns. They have very competent doctors so feel safe coming here.
I have unfortunately bean a patient at this hospital quite a few times. And every fine, I am impressed with the service from staff.nnI had my son here on the mat floor by emergency c section in April 2024. I was being cared for by Dr. Deluce for most of my pregnancy but when it turned into an emergency, I was switched to Dr. Rondenelli. I will sing this woman’s praises til the day I die. She is an incredible doctor. She held me on the table while I cried because I was so scared. She reassured me and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. She followed up and checked on me several times afterwards. Just absolutely incredible bed side manner and a doctor with a real heart. My incision is also non existent - her cutting was so clean. I healed up within three days, was walking literally 6 hours post surgery. She’s amazing.nnThen in July 2024 I was in a bad car accident and came to the hospital with my son by ambulance. I was met in the ambulance bay by a team of nurses, and one nurse threw her arms around me while I bawled my eyes out as they took my son in to be seen. The whole team was very comforting to me and did everything they could to make us comfortable.nnThere are a lot of bad hospitals in the world and a lot of bad doctors/nurses. But I trust the staff here and will never have a bad thing to say about them.
My dear wife had a sudden fall at home, and it left her complaining of pain in her head, ribs, and hip. At our age90’s, that’s no small worry.nThe tests were done efficiently, and we didn’t have to wait endlessly for the results. Every detail was handled with care, and their attentiveness made us feel like we mattered. In a world where things often feel rushed, this was a comfort I didn’t take lightly.nI can’t say enough good things about the staff and the care they provided.
Came with my mother as she's having severe abdominal pains leaving her nauseous. Waiting 6 hours last night for them to tell us to come back tomorrow for ultrasounds because they don't do them at night!? Waited another 3 hours today to be told it could be 6+ hours as they're busy which is fine. but leaving someone who is very vulnerable to pneumonia which all people in emerge seem to have and in severe pain, Can't have the 5 minuets to go over test results? Receptionist was very rude and ignorant to my mother's pain so she decided to discharge herself.
A really nice hospital and ER care. However, if you are 55 or older and need xrays, they no longer give you a lead apron to protect your other organs from cummulative ionizing radiation damage you have to ASK for it AND to be thorough, instead of just 2-3 views they will max it out at 5 each view is billable. After the doc told me just take acetaminophen and ibuprofen for pain, they just walked out of the room and left me there sitting in wheel chair to find my own way back to the entrance, while a group of staff were absorbed with a puppy someone brought into show off. Hygiene issue? But overall quick care and nice staff.
