South Huron Hospital

I cannot speak highly enough of the recent care that I received at South Huron Hospital. The entire staff including emergency room, doctors, nursing, office, kitchen and cleaning was most professional, helpful, kind and caring. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital. The kindness, dignity and patience extended by the nurses is commendable. I even had a visit from a nurse in emergency to see how I was doing. (Thank you Brenda). I felt very fortunate that my circumstances lead me to this wonderful little hospital.

I'll start with the positive, nursing staff. Unfortunately they cannot do anything above what the "rotating" doctor staff allows. My family member was in this hospital for 17 days. Unfortunately my family member suffered with pain that was not managed well during this time. The physicians assigned to her were not qualified or experienced in how to deal with the illnesses that were presented. Only after going to the previously scheduled specialist appointment was the reason for the initial admittance to hospital figured out as well as a treatment plan for recovery started. I would ask South Huron Hospital if you cannot handle a complicated medical condition, please transfer people to doctors who do know how to treat them. I would discourage anyone from going to this hospital if you have anything more than a routine illness.

I've been to this hospital many times and the older lady at the front desk has always been very rude towards patients..i won't go into detail but i was just flabergasted
