C'est en 1975 que la première boutique Stitches a vu le jour au centre-ville de Toronto. Nous exploitons à présent plus de 75 boutiques pour les jeunes adultes à l'échelle au Canada. La réussite de Stitches est due au fait que nous avons écouté notre clientèle et évolué pour offrir aux adolescents de 14 à 18 ans les tendances de l'heure à prix abordable. I wish I would have the option to give 0 Stars based on my recent experience at Stitches in the Aylmer mall. Given the pandemic, I really wanted to support local businesses so my daughter and I went to our local Stitches. What a mistake! Due to the fact that the change rooms were closed due to COVID -19, I asked the cashier if they were allowing refunds if the clothes did not fit since I know that, under normal circumstance, they only accept exchanges. She confirmed that they are doing refunds so I proceeded to buy my daughter a bunch of clothes, with some being the same item in different colours. If she would have told me that they were following their regular policy and we're accepting exchanged only,I only would have bought one each items and would have gone back for more if needed. We bought the items and drove home which is about 5 minutes away. Right away, she tried on the items and found that a few of them did not fit so I immediately jumped back in the car to return them and to pick up one additional item that she did like. When I got to the counter, a different cashier told me that they did not do refunds. I told her that I had just paid and that the cashier had said that they did. Again, if they would have told me they didn't I wouldn't have, I would not have bought the same item in different colours and would have bought just one of each item and then come back for more if needed. The cashier went to get her manager and I texted my daughter to make sure that I had heard correctly. My daughter confirmed what I had heard. Here's when it gets really bad. When the manager approached the cashier, she said to her that there was a lady at the cash who misunderstood what the original cashier had said. I politely interrupted and said that I had asked this question with my daughter besides me and that's what the cashier had said. The manager, who appeared completely annoyed with me, called her supervisor in front of me, stating that it was a customer who didn't understand what the cashier had told her. Again, I am right here and yes I did understand correctly! The rest of the staff were huddled in the corner talking about me. I mean I was right there; how disrespectful, unprofessional and humiliating. At this point I was totally embarrassed and, when the supervisor on the phone told the manager, that they did not do refunds, and after I apologized a bunch of times which I'm not sure why I was the one apologizing I took the gift card and said thank you. I just didn't understand what was going on and why they mocked me for no reason. I am furious. I can't believe that they would treat a customer this way! This is not the first time that I hear awful things about this store. I concur with the review below about them accusing teenagers of stealing and making them feel unwelcome however it is quite ridiculous as the store is geared for that age group. What a disgrace and if I was the owner I would be mortified. Anyway, it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things as the amount is not for a huge amount but I have never been treated like this at a store I am appalled but this is a service that I'm getting in my own town. The staff needs to learn common courtesy. Rest assured, that I will never return to the store and I will be sharing my experience with the rest of my community. As for their gift card, I'll give it away to a poor soul who is willing to go there. So Aylmer residents.... You are best to go somewhere else.
If I could I would give this stitches a negative 12345668. Like other people in these reviews, I too am younger and got associated with stealing. There is this one specific worker at this store, who I would gladly name but can’tI have no clue what her name is that makes assumptions about young adults. My friends had an experience there that involved her accusing them of stealing. Every time I now go in that store with those friends, that same worker gives us dirty looks. The last time we went in, I saw her staring and talking about us with another coworker. How unprofessional! That same coworker she was talking to, opened up the change rooms for us. As we walked in she asked us to leave our bags outside. An understandable demand I thought. Until I looked around and saw that no one else was asked to do so. She didn’t tell anyone else in the changing area to leave their bags outside. Targeting us because we’re teenagers? How disrespectful! Spreading rumours about us that we were so called “stealing” when we were minding our own business shopping? That is down right unacceptable! I see that this location has had problems with thievery in the past, nonetheless is that an excuse to blame innocent teenagers for it because “their teenagers.” When walking into a store you should feel comfortable and helped out. That is the exact opposite of what I feel in this store. I felt very uncomfortable and judged. It’s like I’m in the movie “Mean Girls”, the workers are Regina George and her gang and the customers are the people they bully. The staff at this store really needs to have a group discussion about how to treat their customers and how to have decent customers service skills. They can’t spread rumours about their shoppers, they can’t disrespect customers like this and they absolutely can’t, make assumptions about a specific group of people. I hope this problem gets resolved and that the company takes the needed measures to make buyers feel comfortable in their store. Please listen to your customers to help improve your company!!
Was very angry with the customer service, actually no service. The staff only spoke and acknowledge certain types of nationality. They would speak to my husband who is not the same ethnic as me. Waited at the check out line and was ignored. 1 person who was not in line received service before me. I was the only person in line that bought anything and I spend 166$ on none sale items Then they shoved my purchases into the bag like garbage. They didn't even look at me in the eyes. I can't even enjoy my purchases for every time I see it, I just feel angry. Returning it on Monday.
I went to stitches with a few of my friends, and got accused of stealing. Apparently we looked suspicious because we were staring at the manager, we were only staring at the manager because we were talking about how rude she was to us, and how she treated us like we ruined her life. Then we were looking at glasses and my other friend heard one of the employees say “watch those 3 their stealing”. I was with my 2 black friends so we immediately assumed it was racism. Later my friends mom talked to them about the issue. The employee said “Actually it was the girl in the middle” me. They obviously were only saying that because they didn’t want to seem racist. She was repeatedly pin pointing me saying she had a problem with me. Soon enough I had an anxiety attack because I’m a good kid I would never do something so bad. In conclusion I’m never going there again, I got treated horribly.
Great customer service. Employees are friendly, polite and helpful. As well they have great sales. Will definitely continue to shop there !
Very trendy place. Lot's of emoji and "I love NY" clothes but sometimes you'll find something good. Plus it's usually not that expensive and/or there's a sale going on.
I'm cheap but not whiteout looking good. Bought my whiter jacket a fairly good price
Prices and sales are great. Shame I can't say the same about the staff. They are one bunch of rude
I took my granddaughters here to go shopping they had a lot of fun lots to choose from but it was hard to find sales staff to help them out
Great service from the staff i was impressed with the all the respect they showed. For sure going to be returning!
