My wife and I were checking out seasonal information at Stewarts Pond Campsites. However, the camping season is way to short at Stewarts Pond Campsites. Most campgrounds open early May and close either Columbus Day and some even the end of October. Stewarts goes from Memorial Day weekend til Labor Day weekend. Stewarts eliminates anywhere from a month and a half to two and a half months of camping. In the Fall you miss any opportunity for the foliage to change and enjoy. Just crazy ??? We have not found another campground with such an unfortunately short season. We cannot comment on the pros & cons of the campground, other than this particular point.

My dad stumbled across this campground in 1965, the year they opened. We have been going there every summer since! I had the joy of growing up there and was thrilled that my children had the opportunity to grow up there too. The Byrons are like family that we have the privileged of seeing each summer. If you're looking for a great, back to nature, camping experience with your family, this is the place to go....we all call it our happy place!
