I am giving 5 stars because of how helpful Cricket was. She helped us coordinate sites for 3 families - all with different needs and managed to have us together. Unfortunately, my husband had to be hospitalized so we had to cancel the week before. Cricket was understanding and graciously refunded us our total amount. My son and neice did camp there and loved it. I hope we get to experience Cold Brook next year .

Fantastic campground, we will be back. When we pulled into the campground we were greeted by staff who had a packet of our paperwork ready for us, we didn't even have to get out of the truck. Another staff member then guided us to our campsite in a golf cart and made sure the site was acceptable for our camper. The sites are very large, many campgrounds would put 3 sites on the 2 sites that our family had. They are completely shaded which is so nice compared to the campgrounds that we have been running into recently. We were greeted by the most friendly staff everytime we stopped into the office. The pool is nice, the dog park is a great touch that we didn't get a chance to take advantage of this trip but I looked at it and it is very clean and large. I will admit that I had a moment of hesitation when I read some of the previous reviews but I can assure anyone who is looking for a campground in the Lake George or Saratoga area that this is a gem. It is right off the highway so it is easy to get anywhere in the area. I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for a great week!

Too many trees and very narrow roads for suitable maneuverability. Roads were not planned well thus difficult to follow. Power was poor when everyone was using A/C. Site was FULL of ant hills. Site was far from level which resulted in rain accumulating all around us at several inches. We will not return.

Update: My comments below hold true through the 2017 season as well. Several more of the bad apples have either left or been evicted (as recently as today 8/3/17). Additionally, this year the campground has made so many improvements! The water system was completely overhauled, electric services upgraded, septics have all been located and consistently maintained, and improvements to facilities such as the volleyball court. The improvements continue daily! The goal of family friendly, quiet and respectful campers, and all around beauty is coming together!
(2016) Keep in mind, most of the bad reviews are coming from either evicted or disgruntled seasonals after finally being held to the rules. This campground has improved SIGNIFICANTLY since we came for our first tour in 2014. We began our seasonal residency here in 2015, are here again for the 2016 season, and just signed up for the 2017 season. The improvements made so far are impressive, and the remaining items are being worked on. This place was in bankruptcy for many years before the new management company took over in 2015. They are doing the best they can with what they were given. Cricket, the new site manager this year, was given the task of putting the rules in place and finally enforcing them. Some of the seasonals didn't like that, as they were the proverbial inmates running the asylum before. Evictions were made and the place has been heaven since! Thank you Cricket for all your hard work!

Nice, wooded park but the sites need gravel brought in. Very muddy after hard, long rains.
Luckily we had mats to lay out because this site was all dirt with huge ruts caused by heavy rains that drained down the street to us.
