Charming inn close to downtown Wausau. Rooms are generously sized and each has unique features. Modern entertainment equipment paired with classic furnishings make each room feel comfortable but historic. Bathrooms in each room are equipped with a steam shower, which is like a sauna shower combo. Common areas of the inn are well preserved and beautiful. Lots of unique craftsmanship and history on display. Innkeepers are warm and friendly, without being overbearing. Their knowledge of local attractions and history is extensive. Breakfast each morning is a gourmet, multi-course affair, much if it locally sourced. Lots of attractions and dining within walking distance. Highly recommended. We'll be back again for sure.

The Stewart Inn is an absolutely beautiful historic house. Every room, both private staying quarters and public resting areas, are brilliantly decorated and give the house so much life. The service is wonderful, the Innkeeper, Randy, did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable and at home. His cooking is absolutely delicious. With the added bonus of the house being within walking distance of the Grand Theater and the lovely rewards system in place, we will definitely be staying here again. Just remember: being that the house is historical, it is old and the floors do creak and the doors do squeak. Please be mindful of those around you when walking about the house in the later and early hours.

The owner was wonderful, the Inn itself is absolutely gorgeous, offering delicious breakfast, and all the short walk from shops, restaurants, and the Riverwalk. My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our stay there, and hope to go back someday!

We have stayed at many B&B's over the years but this place is top of class. There is just nothing like it!! Simply stunning architecture and craftsmanship !! The bed are comfortable, (the sheets are nice also) the bathrooms are all update and each room has a bathroom with a steam shower. The prices of the room were overly fair and some even came with fireplaces or balcony. The 3 course breakfast was yummy also. Nothing to complain about at all.

George Maher built this stunning home in the Prairie School architectural style. It has been preserved intact and now operates as a serene boutique hotel. The host Randy and Sara warmly greet their guests and provide a warm and home like atmosphere.
Our initial one day stay required an extension because of weather related travel. What a bonus.
Local knowledge about restaurants and attractions were helpfully provided and exceeded our time availability, all within easy walking distance of this centrally located downtown hotel.
Great eats. Great fun. Need to schedule a return visit.
