We opened our doors in Vancouver 2007, with the endorsement of professional basketball athlete Steve Nash. In-line with his vision of promoting a healthy, balanced lifestyle for all, we continue to redefine the standard gym experience as BC’s largest fitness provider with 19 clubs and growing.

I've been coming to this gym for a while as a guest, and I finally ended up subscribing. They have affordable packages befitting for your goals and plenty of clean and working equipment. However, keep in mind that it is usually crowded at peak times. Staff is friendly and willing to help you, Eve personal trainers helped me to identify exercise posture and muscle to be trained on. She was really sweet. Overall, I find this gym functional for workout beginners and experienced people. You can monitor your progress with a personal trainer or with the equipment available.
My husband and I have been coming for a couple of months and getting personal training with Kat and we love her! Super helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating with our busy schedule. The whole team is super friendly and welcoming and always greet us with a warm welcome when we come. This gym has everything you could possibly need for equipment and love the access to the classes and hydro massage beds and tanning salon. So happy we found Kat and this gym!
Very nice gym, at least for me as a beginner. The staff is very friendly and always gonna be there for you if you need help. Also, the gym has hydro massage lounge that is incredible good after a long workout. Don’t come here after 6pm because is too busy. If you need personal trainer, you definitely should go with G, the French guy. I’ve been working with him once a week and I can tell he really cares about you and your process. After a month with him, I notice important changes in my body. Thanks you G!
Hands down, best choice I’ve made training at Fitness World. VERY friendly team who make me actually want to go train. It became impossible to work out here in a timely manner. There's just too many people to the point where you won't be able to find any available machines or even floor space for your mat. The change rooms are neglected on a daily basis. The floor is disgusting to step on, either wet or dirty, and people just leave garbage inside lockers that would stay for months. It's overcrowded and poorly maintained, unfortunately. Machines are taking weeks or months to be fixed as they naturally break down, which only adds up to less available options for workout. Been a member for years, but as of today will be looking for options. Very sad to be writing this review.
Excellent trainers and a friendly staff! My experience working with Kat Tuason as a personal trainer was nothing short of wonderful, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to have a personal trainer who is amazing and has the highest level of experience in the industry. Also, the manager, Dylan, is a great guy. He is incredibly polite and answered all of my concerns. Thank you for your great service!
Awesome trainers here and a really great facility. I’ve been working with Kat since September 2022 and she has completely changed my life. I’ve learned so many different exercises with her and she pushes me to continue to be the best I can be. My diet has gotten better with her help and I couldn’t be happier. She is an incredible trainer.
Good facilities and friendly staff. Due to the large scale of gym, there are fewer restrictions on the use of equipment even if many people exercise at the same time.
I joined Fitness World in Cambie 3 months ago and was coached by Guillaume. He is a very good coach who takes care of his clients. A session with Guillaume, called "the G-Day", is all about fun, laughter and jokes! He takes the time to explain everything to you, from training to nutrition... I recommend him! Thank you very much. The gym is alright, can get busy at times, but has all of the necessary equipment. The reason that I'm rating this as 1 star is due to their shortcomings surrounding contract agreements and cancellation. There are numerous hoops you have to jump through to cancel your membership, even after your contract is over. There is a 30-day cancellation policy so you need to pay for a whole month even after cancelling. You need to be there in person to sign the form. You need to show proof that you aren't able to attend the gym anymore if you moved. You need to send an email to the GM just to get the form. The staff don't remember to put notes on your file even after asking them to. All of this friction is what I had to go through just to cancel my membership, for months which they wouldn't refund due to incompetency from their front desk staff. Real hard for a large corporation to refund around $80 to a good-standing customer. I wouldn't recommend this gym due to this simple, yet insurmountable shortfall from management.
