We were very excited to come back to the Steam Plant and see the results of the renovation. The up and downstairs remodel suits the renovated industrial building much better than the old oak and brass style there before. The new menu is interesting and varied, with a focus on smoked meats. If the beer was better, I would give them a 5, but I've just never found their beer rich or satisfying, just a little watery. The unique interior makes it all worthwhile!

Food was just average, service was poor. If a server chooses not to write down the tables order they should be able to get it right. 2 out 5 orders correct is not a passing score. Burgers not cooked to temperature. All over-cooked and dry. Was hoping for more. Won’t be going back any time soon.

(Post remodel review) Used to be one of my favorite places to relax on a Sunday, or any casual evening... but turned pop and lost most, if not all, of its charm.. From now on, it will simply serve as a quick stop for a growler fill, if at all.

New menu is amazing, loved the food and service, but why close off the smokestacks to the public? What was the whole point of renovation if you close off the main attraction? Not very appealing for this born-and-raised Spokanite if for each visit I gotta cross my fingers that someone with deeper pockets didn't beat me to the punch. Unlikely to go again unless this policy changes.

A friend and I sat at the bar or on a Sunday night. They were not busy and we got excellent service from the bartenders. Their food was pretty good, and their beer was mediocre at best. If you’re in town and trying the breweries you can skip this one unless you are going for the food. Prices were reasonable.
