Frank's Diner is a really neat, all-American diner housed in what appears to be two old-fashioned train cars. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was excellent. I ordered a corned beef hash omelette (as I usually do at diners), and they made it perfectly, even though I don't believe it's on their menu. It came with toast and a fruit cup, which were very good. All in all, this is a great little diner, even if it isn't the Red Arrow (that's an amazing diner that originated just north of Boston, made more famous by Adam Sandler). I will definitely choose this place over Denny's any day of the week (unless it's closed, of course!).

Fun place for breakfast. It's worth going to see the old train car interior. Service was friendly and attentive. Regular breakfast fare nothing fancy but no complaints. Gluten free toast! We arrived at opening so no waiting, there were still plenty of seats by 7:30 on a Saturday. Early bird and all . . .

One of the best diner experiences I've had in a while. I was expecting a long wait to be seated (it isn't a very big place), but was seated within 5 or so minutes (although it was a weekday). The food was amazing. Everything was cooked as ordered. The grilled biscuits are delicious. I highly recommend the huckleberry silver dollar pancakes. Overall great food and great atmosphere. I'll definitely stop by Frank's again next time I'm in Spokane.

Looking for a late breakfast after leaving the Montvale Hotel. Checked Yelp while hubby checks Google. We both found this place with great reviews, so off we went. It was well worth it in so many ways. This historic railroad car much like the hotel held 100 years of history. The majority of the fixtures, stain glass and counters were original. The story of this particular car was so interesting, I forgot about the food. Well, making up for that was easy enough and Gage was there to help us in our journey through their extensive menu. It was wonderful to see some southern favourites for me. To have fried green tomatoes offered isn't something I'm use to since moving away from home. Cajun specialties, chicken and waffles, you just hope there is a southern heart beating back there in the kitchen. Hubby and I were thrilled with the service and so wonderfully surprised by the quality and portions of our meals. I had the Cajun Seafood Omelet and it was wonderful. No skimping on the crab or lobster. Nice big pieces with a delightful Cajun sauce with enough of a kick to savor. This southern girl would have taken in more heat if that was possible. Hubby had the Works and cleaned the plate. Wish I lived nearby to partake in more they offered. Next time we visit Spokane, I will be looking for Gage and more from this delicious menu. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Super delicious as always. A friend and I split two entrees (we couldn't decide between a burger and grilled cheese) and when they were brought to the table they had plated it with half a burger and half a grilled cheese on each plate! I love Frank's. The wait time is usually pretty long on the weekends though. We waited for about 45 minutes before being seated.
