Staples St. Albert

This is a delayed review, but I would like to share my experience still. Several months ago my mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. I called staples last minute in hopes they could print obituary cards for her funeral and the most lovely, kind, empathetic person answered - Cynthia. She assured me that she would get the job done, she was so incredibly sweet and gracious. She took the time to chat with me about my mom, helped me choose photos, and was just so warm and kind to me. When I went to pick up my order, a different woman was working and she was unfortunately very unpleasant. She demanded I pay extra for folding the cards, even though when I spoke with Cynthia originally she said it was included. I explained this to the worker, along with asking her to be mindful that I just lost my mom at a young age and to just be a bit kinder or I’d probably break down right in store and she wasn’t having it. She was rude, aggressive, and just wanted me to pay more money. Another worker stepped in and told her that if there was a mistake it was their mistake, she apologized for the confusion and gave her condolences which was appreciated. I just have to give a special thank you to Cynthia for not only doing a wonderful job on the cards, but for being a really awesome human at the worst time of my life. Thank you.

Update: changing to a two star rating because my sister was ignored by the print pick upnworker for an entire 10 minutes with no other customers around, then after another woman came over and asked if someone was going to run the till he spoke to her in a very rude tone telling her she was waiting at the wrong area. Customer service is your job, do better.nnAttached is the photo sent to print and the picture given to us. I’ve ordered it three separate times now because it keeps printing incredibly dark. I am happy with an outdoor banner I got printed, but I won’t be ordering any pictures from staples anymore unfortunately.

I’m giving my honest review. Staff has to work more on customer service. One particular staff at the photocopy/photo area was very rude. Her tone and attitude was horrible and didn’t know what she was doing. She completely ignore instructions and was arrogant. Customers don’t deserve that kind of treatment. She should not be working for customer service. Please train your staff proper customer service.

I’ve now had two incredible experiences with Sem in the printing department! He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful - he went above and beyond to help me both times I’ve been in! 10/10 employee! You don’t find customer service like that anymore!

I am absolutely furious with the actions of one of their representatives, Darpit! My elderly grandmother, who has dementia, was manipulated and pressured into switching from Telus to Bell despite making it clear she DID NOT want to switch! It’s sickening to see someone take advantage of a vulnerable person for the sake of hitting sales quotas.nnDarpit showed zero empathy and zero respect for my grandmother’s wishes and well-being. ZERO SENSE OF HUMOR as well.nnThis kind of behavior is unacceptable. No one, especially elderly people dealing with dementia, should ever be treated this way. Bell should be ashamed of allowing their employees to exploit the elderly for personal gain!nnAvoid Darpit at all costs, or better yet AVOID THEIR BELL SALES REPS!
