Solid sleep, beds were comfortable and place was nice. The only thing was there was this odd tiking noise I was hearing around the window area and that was pretty loud but it didn’t last long before it stopped
I arrived on Saturday, June 21 at 11:30 p.m. The hotel is perfect! Very well maintained! However, the person at the front desk is not professional at all, she had her earphones in, didn’t even say hello, and the only thing she said was ‘I need ID.’ She is not suited to work in customer service..
The condition of this hotel is terrible. It’s old and outdated, and the bathroom door won’t close properly, constantly staying open. The toilet is unstable and keeps moving. The sink drains extremely slowly, and the toilet doesn’t flush properly, as if it’s clogged. I reported these issues to the front desk, but they did nothing to resolve them.nnWe could hear someone vomiting in the room next door from our room. The soundproofing is nonexistent.nI stayed up late watching the aurora and wanted to sleep in the next morning, but the cleaning staff were talking so loudly in the morning that the noise came into my room and made it impossible to sleep.nnThe temperature controller in the room does not work. I turned off the heater because it was too hot, but warm air kept coming in from somewhere. The room was extremely dry and hot, making it impossible to relax comfortably. This is not a hotel where you can rest peacefully.nnI will never return to this hotel again.
So it's an older hotel that could use renos but the beds and room are always clean. Only request is that they check if leftover dishes are left in dishwasher from the previous guests and is cutlery is sanitized please.
Rooms: quite dated, walls are thin, stains on furniture. Beds are nice with the sheets being cleaned well. I had issues with getting soap replaced in a timely fashion and had to ask numerous times.nnService: housekeeping did a good job although they appear understaffed. Front desk staff was hit-or-miss with some seeming unhappy to be there and others straight up lying about servicing my request. Definitely the weakest part of my stay.nnLocation: Decent location depending on your needs, the hotel is on a nice hill and connects to paths for the Frame Lake trail nearby.nnOverall not worth the price they're asking compared to other local options. Could use some updating and quality control. If you need somewhere to stay though it's at least an option.
