It's a great park. I bring my dog and 2 year old son here often. Only problem is the bikers on the path think they own the place. I had an incident where some asshat biker came flying down the path at a million KM per hour, and he almost hit both my dog and son, as my son was learning to use his bike with training wheels. Buddy tried to blame me. The guy is lucky he kept his teeth. Other than losers like this, it's a beautiful park, with a great view
Was at Stanley Park for the Beechwood Market on a Saturday morning. Overall it’s a nice park, with a playground for kids that has wood chips, and a separate section with sand that kids can play in. Also has a splash pad area. Big open fields and bike lanes allow for many types of activities. And of course the market has so much stuff! We go to pick up our veggie box from Two Beets Farm, and then always grab other stuff, my son loves to get blueberries There’s fresh veggies, fruit, bread, cider, beer, coffee, soaps, Indian food, jams and even live music! Parking is tricky if you come later in the day as it’s only available on the street. It’s a nice place to spend a Saturday morning!
One of many wonderful Ottawa parks to enjoy year-round. Dogs allowed
This entire area is fabulous I find. From the Edinburgh area to the Sussex street attractions etc. Stanley Park is this beautiful area with scenic views. At the moment though as of October 8 2020 they were in the midst of some renovations. I’m sure once they’ve finished it will be very nice indeed.
Amazing place to waste away your summer days!
Stanley park is our favourite spot especially after the opening of the paths. Easy access to bikes and dogs are very happy to meet with their friends
A hidden gem perfect for families and the individual alike. Very modern and progressive in terms of play structure design. It encourages kids to get creative and problem solve in order to get around. Also has a comprehensive sandpit, nice swings, and an adjacent splash pad to keep the kiddos cool in the summer.
Great park! Great place for the dogs. Keep in mind they cannot be off leash everywhere, watch out for cyclist, they often ride where they're not supposed to and have hit dogs before. I always bring my fur babies to an opening in the trail that goes into the river - it's a dog party in there! Also beautiful just to hang out, have a picnic or go for a stroll.
Real nice riverside park to walk or run. Children can ride their bikes. East walkway id better than west counterpart.
We had a great time at Stanley park. We visited the totem poles and the lighthouse. The highlight of the trip here was definitely the train ride! It's cheap and quick and perfect for young kids. After the ride, they even let the kids quickly come to the front and sound the bell on the train! What a cute experience! You also get access to the park as well, which was a great little add on and the kids tuckered themselves out. Would highly recommend to parents of young kids!
