St. Catharines Public Library - Merritt Branch

Staff are lovely and always so patient with my little ones. I feel lucky to have a great little library right in our neighborhood. Also the new updated hours make it more convenient.

The staff are very friendly, I always use the online app to put holds on my books. So I’m in and out quickly! Great little library!

This is the closest branch to my home and I'm always able to get what I need from there by requesting books ahead of time on the website, which they then ship to this branch for me to pick up when I can. I work 9-5 M-F and can always visit around their hours. Checkout process is always quick and easy and the library is a nice, calm place, as it should be.

Staff members don't stop talking and laughing. This is not a library, this is a kindergarten or a child daycare Enormous number of kids crying, you can't read or study Staff are unprofessional and keep talking with each other, Tim Hortons is more quiet than this chaos

This was my worst library experience. Ever. I went to 2 different libraries trying to find something even remotely child friendly. There are no toys. The children are supposed to be quiet. Not a good time with young children. I'm really really disappointed.

Friendly committed service. Availability of everything I am interested in is superb,; both early publications and recent work in Politics, Fiction, Mysteries, Science. How they afford to do this is beyond my understanding. The reference service works well. Thank you.

Friendly employees! Nice and clean inside, lots of activities to do with the kids check the printout at the front desk for a list of upcoming activities/events computers to use, books and movies to rent, this place is a little hidden jem :

Why is a library closed at 5 pm on a Saturday, closed on a Sunday, and generally not accessible to adults that work a 9-5. This is a disservice to members of a community that could benefit from the wealth of resources and knowledge provided by public libraries.

My favourite St. Catharines library location. Most of the staff know me and even those who don't are extremely accommodating. Free parking too.
