Oct. Update: Glad to see that the library is trying to improve day by day, that's good! EXCEPT just saw this new security guy was comfortably sitting on the couch and on his phone for half an hour... (and I have to walk by him to remind him it is not your break time yet, or he probably will take a nap soon)... USELESS indeed!

Unfortunately I have noticed that this library is very noisy. Customer service area located very close to the place where you have to sit, read and focus. You get distracted by phone calls and conversations from customer service very often and you can't do nothing with that.

this is the best, most respectful, most caring library in New York. I highly recommend it. Also with a wide variety of not just books, but music and movies too! I come here everyday and its as wonderful as the day before. If I could give 6 stars best believe i would!!

I gave 2 stars because i came here to study but the place is very noisy. Staff talks to readers in a loud voice or normal voice rather than wispering. I thought that library is quiet or silent. Disappointed to staffs who talks loud and to those who dont tell readers to be quiet. I guess because they are. If you need a place to stay with no loud music then go ahead... but to study i dont recommend it because it is not a quiet place.
