Story

Sporting Intentions, “The Island’s Great Outdoor Specialty Store”, is Atlantic Canada’s premier outdoor retailer. Occupying nearly 8000 square feet of newly renovated space at 614 North River Road in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Twenty foot floor to ceiling solid pine logs, a massive chunk of Island sandstone, and original, nature themed, Island artwork, provide a jaw dropping background for our extensive selection of high quality outdoor products. You will find the latest technical equipment and apparel, complimented by casual wear and related accessories for all four seasons of outdoor activity; from camping and paddle sports in the spring and summer, hiking and adventure travel in the fall, and snow sports in winter.

Was in today and yesterday to get some items for an upcoming trip. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and getting to play with the owners dog was an added bonus! Highly recommend this business.

I would consider this a store for people who are very serious about outdoor/adventure sports. I shop here because I know the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and they carry some brands not available anywhere else on the island. However, you can find similar products at other stores for less money. Because of that I seldom buy here on my first visit.

Great brands & great service ... And it's been this way since I worked here 30 years ago! Wes & I started working here at the same time years ago ... and West is still there with the same passion for The outdoors & assisting others getting 'out there' safely with super gear. Cycle touring on the Island? Forgot your repair kit - like I did today - you'll get quick service & be back on the road lickety split!

Nothing but the best from this store. Every time I am in this store the team is more than helpful. They have the best outdoor gear and apparel I can find anywhere on the east coast. This is place is a must if you enjoy urban fashion, and any outdoor activity. I couldn't ask for better service from any store that specializes in the equipment and clothes that they do.
