Visited Spicex couple of times. Found array of spices , groceries, and frozen items. Anyine looking for Indian groceries qould not be disappointed. Variety of spicy pickles available. This place also provide indian food services like Biriyani, curries and other items. Only take away. I ordered food through skip the dishes . Really enjoyed the delicacy but with TOO MUCH raisins in the biriyani, couldnt enjoyed much.

I ordered a beef birani for pickup. The order was ready in time. The staff was really friendly and gave me a 10% discount. I have been a regular customer of the place since the beginning and I must say that they really care about their customers.

Kerala style beef and Porotta is a must try. You will find every south indian mix masala packets as well.

Delicious and reasonably priced. The butter chicken has a sweetness to it and the rice was silky smooth! The veggie samosas had a kick to them which we liked. Wasn't served hot, more like lukewarm but we popped it into a microwave and that made it even better. Also had the beef masala which was flavourful! Food didn't take too long - about 20 minutes. Really enjoyed this place!

A place for great Indian cuisine at affordable cost ! Loved the Kerala Poratta and Beef. In terms of service, the order took around 10 minutes and was ready All the stuffs including chef Shiva were very humble and generous people. Besides food menu, spicex has many varieties of indian spices, snacks, frozen vegetables etc Must visit !

Ok so this is my new go to place. There are some good Indian food spots around NL but this one ladies and gentlemen delivers!!

EXCELLENT FOOD! I couldn’t decide between butter chicken and beef biriyani so I asked the clerk and he suggested beef biriyani. No regrets; absolutely delicious. Beef was superrr fall-apart tender and I got extra spicy and it was perfectly so! The store also has some great finds. My only regret is not ordering samosas.

I love this place. Usually we get it from Skip the Dishes, but today we went and picked it up from their location on Empire Ave. The staff Shiva was very friendly. The food was excellent. I had Butter Chicken. I appreciate that they give you the sauce and chicken in a separate container, so that when you get home and combine it with the rice, it will be fresh. It's the best butter chicken in the city.

My first time there and I do like Indian food. I did read the reviews before I went and some people were griping about the customer service. I understand people have different standards but back in my younger days I was involved in fine dining services. Don't get me wrong this is a takeout with a small Indian food market including different soda pops. The service by the young man who was cooking and minding the shop was second to none. I had questions about some of the items and he answered all and made me like I wasn't bothering him. I order the chicken curry with a side of samosas. If there is anything a Newfoundlander likes more is a big portion and it was a big portion and delicious. The curry was just enough spicy and the food came out hot. I will definitely be back

I have never had a bad experience with SpiceX,, only some mediocre ones. They're open at great hours and they can get busy for a reason. Had some absolutely delicious spicy butter chicken from Shiva yesterday. Top notch. SpiceX is a place you can reliably go to get a good hot meal.
