As a local guide I seldom give five star which this facility compelled me by their wonderful behavior and the food. The taste is good and the quantity is great. This is a favorite spot of all the students. A meal plan is also available.
I had the chicken Biryani here, and it was delicious! Not too spicy, just right. You can find Indian products and groceries here too, and the host was warm and really friendly!
This unpreposterous little place is , hands down, the best Indian/Pakistani food in town. Forget Preposterous India Gate , Desi is the spot . Lamb curry is the best .
If you want good food, you have it here. If you want to cook good food at home, tou have that too! The best part about Desi Meal is it's owner's customer service. Humble and welcoming at the same time
Everything is expensive here compared to other South Asian groceries. I bought 1 litre Mustered oil for $16 and the next day I got that one with half price from Dominion.
Desi meal provides great comfort for the people of Bangladesh, Pakistan and India as they have supplies spices of the subcontinent. The restaurant attached is great. The food is tasty and enjoyable. Environment is clean and they maintain health rules and safety measures.
They have a great collection of south asian products. Another Halal food option near Memorial University. If you want to try south asian food, you might want to check it out.
The biryani was very spicy which I liked but considering I ordered chicken biryani and there was no chicken but only rice was a letdown. Although the tandoori chicken was dry and seemed to have been made a lot earlier and just put in microwave. The mixed vegetable was better than other restaurants I have tried here.
Best Indian food we've had in NL, dahl, tandoori chicken and Biryani was amazing!
Great food, reasonable price, and friendly staff. I've enjoyed it very much every time I've gone. The pakora are particularly nice.
