If the owner actually wants "customer service" here are a few communication ideas:
1. Answer the phone within 10 rings!
2. Don't tell customers to press * every 2 minutes as they are on hold for a reason!
3. Your customers might like online notifications and other technology.
4. Your staff might learn text and email for customer service too.
It's a good thing Spectrum bills the Ontario Government because many of your customers might rip them up or sue you in court.

I have been calling for my dad to see when the nurse will show up all they do is put you on hold and have no answers to any questions. Extremely unprofessional they have no idea how to even schedule a time or call.. it is ridiculous how little care they show

I called spectrum to arrange for a nurse to come see my mom as per our main nurse's suggestion. The secretary transferred me over to the "nursing manager". This manager AYESHA was so rude, I kept telling her what my concern was and why I wanted a nurse to come visit my mom, she kept shutting me up saying that there was no need for a nurse to come visit as she knew what the issue was and because my mom is palliative there is no point for a nurse to come visit her as the nurse wouldn't know what her stoma looks like(my mom has a g tube and its leaking(more than normal), but I'm telling her that it looks red and bigger , and she keeps shutting me down and insisting there is nothing a nurse can do, so I ended up asking her if she's sending a nurse or not?
if not let me know and if yes then thank you, after a good argument for about 10 minutes she agreed. Also, she said if a nurse already came in the morning, why didn't I tell her the issues? The nurse who visits us everyday is very professional and kind hearted, and she knows whats going on but the issue came up after she left, so this MANAGER AYESHA was emphasizing on why did she not dress the issues while she was visiting this morning(please note the issue came up after she left and she's not supposed to stay with us 24 x 7,she has other patients to see and if we have any concerns there is a reason we can call the agency and ask for a nurse to come visit).
This so called MANAGER "AYESHA" lacks mannerisms, ettiquettes and compassion. I wonder if she lacks empathy, why is she a nurse?!! Wrong profession for you AYESHA, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND VENT OUT YOUR FRUSTRATION, AND NOT ON THE CLIENTS WHO ARE TERMINAL. the way she asked me ,"IS SHE PALLIATIVE:"? was very rude. PLEASE QUIT NURSING and do something else, do us all a favour.
MY MOM'S NURSE IS AWESOME.
This ONE STAR RATING is for NURSING MANAGER AYESHA( there is no NEGATIVE RATING UNFORTUNATELY). She kept asking me if it was a PSW or a nurse we had visiting this morning. I kept telling her that it was the nurse who visited and if we could please get another person to come visit due to the leakage, she repeatedly argued pointlessly saying if a nurse already came, why am I calling now for another one????
HERE IS SOME INFORMATION FROM THE SPECTRUM WEBSITE ABOUT 24X7 ACCESS TO THEIR TEAM:
If you/your loved one have been diagnosed with an advanced illness or require palliative care, our team of dedicated health care professionals can develop a customized care plan that is flexible and adaptable to the various stages of your/their condition. EDIT: JANUARY 29th
My mom passed away about 2 weeks ago, the nurse came to declare the time etc. She clearly said.take care guys and said good bye. I asked her if she will remove the tube, she said funeral home will take care of it.
She came back few hours later, she said I need to take out the tube, mom was dressed and resting peacefully. She couldn't remove the tube, was toggling with it, then called AYESHA again as she wasn't able to remove the tube(tried pulling it out). NO RESPECT for someone who passed away few hours ago.
AYESHA told her not to remove the tube and that funeral home will do it.
I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND WHY DID SHE COME BACK WHEN SHE INITIALLY SAID GOODBYE TO OUR FAMILY AND STARTED PULLING TUBE OUT AFTER FAILED ATTEMPTS? OUR FAMILY WAS GOING THROUGH A TOUGH TIME BUT I NEEDED TO COME BACK AND EDIT THIS TO LET PEPLE KNOW THIS IS WHAT SOME "COMPASSIONATE " NURSES FROM SPECTRUM DO. SUCH A SHAME , NO RESPECT FOR DEPARTING SOULS AND THEIR GRIEVING FAMILIES.
