Southwest Community Center & Pool

This place is a terrible place to play basketball. When I look at the schedule for Basketball and it says it will be open, it really is not. I have decided to call them to see if they are open and they never answer, the front desk is not always very nice and doesn’t care. They usually say "no" without a sorry, even when I explain to them what is wrong and confusing. Never go to the gym on days off of school, because they always have camps, even when it says it is open. Sometimes they say it is not open, but when I look in the gym there’s a whole side open, with no one there. I absolutely hate this place and I just want to play basketball and this is a reason why you should not become a member, because it is overpriced and you won’t be able to use the gym.

Great facilities, cool water park style slide in the pool. Well equipped gym. Staff is helpful in person, but not over the phone...if anyone answers. Don't get me started on the PP&R website.

The pools are family friendly and maintained during an annual closure in September. The gym and exercise room have regularly scheduled classes and activities. The weight room is dated and some of the machines are in poor repair.

This place is great for both adults & kids. I come here for the fitness center, and one of these days I plan on taking one of their many fitness classes. We also bring our toddler to the pool - both for open swim and for swimming lessons. She loves it and they have a massive slide that is a lot of fun! They also have drop-in child care that is excellent. And the price is good for a family. We'll be back!
