Be advised if you don't have an Oregon Park Pass, you will have to pay at the pay station at the entrance or risk getting cited. If you regularly travel to Oregon State parks however, the yearly pass is a good value. This place is a wetland preserve as well as a park. Great to walk in but be advised, the east end of the park is clothing optional. Even though it is posted, the signs are small and easy to miss. The primary visitors in the clothing optional area are gay men. Although not exclusively. Access to the river can sometimes be difficult until the river levels drop enough for things to dry out. Here in 2017, there are many areas just becoming reachable at the end of July.

So the beech is actually a clothing optional beach, on the trail down there I have the kids do there best to keep their heads down and eyes on the trail. There's always a couple old weirdo type guys with there junk flopping around that we have to pass on the trail out to the beach, I just don't understand how the absolute nicest beach around has to be clothing optional but it is, and I don't want the kids to miss out on such an awesome place so we push through, once you get out there it's huge and there's plenty of room to be away from the nakeds, the sand kinda goes up and down to form kid friendly pools that get washed out daily by the rise and fall of the water level, have fun bring lots of water!

Beautiful riverside park on the Columbia Gorge that is really close to Portland. Bring your boat if you want to hit the river from here. Also has a big dog play area.

This park has beautiful views and when accessible the beaches are wonderful. The clothing optional area has beach access, but at times includes some extremely creepy males who like to stay fully clothed and sit near lone or groups of women and stare. Be aware of your surroundings.

Good walk on soft sand to the clothing optional beach. Not very crowded. No pets allowed even on leash so we won't be back. RogerTheTherapyDog knows when he's not welcome.
