The water in the lake isn't the cleanest due to the houses around it and people peeing in it so I wouldn't swim there or let my kids swim there. It's cool for rc boats and such. The picnic areas and yard areas are great and not many are aware it has a 500 yard archery area open year round with targets. Targets and backstop s were provided by park last I checked about a year ago. It's the only park with an archery station in city limits.

Went there in the summer to use my kayak. The park staff waited until I hauled my kayak to the lake to tell me that I can't use my own kayak, I can only use the rented kayaks that they provide for a price. The lake is beautiful and there is a swimming area, but if you plan on enjoying the water away from the kiddy pool, you'll have to fork out extra cash...

I absolutely adore this place! There is so much open space with picnic tables under covered areas where you can host your own birthday parties. There's also a small water place for children where they can run through sprinkler shaped structures that spray water! (The Water is kind of cold though.) But the best part is the actual lake, even though there is only a small portion available to the public it is still its most popular attraction and its most enjoyable one. After getting a swim there are bathrooms and places to get a quick rinse.

This place is great it only costs 5$ to park and that's it to enjoy all it has to offer all day. it's got a spray pad, a nice little sandy swimming area, and paddle boats. It would be just the ideal place for an afternoon BBQ on a hot day. The only reason i didn't give it a 5 star rating is because everyone knows what a great place it is and it is CRAZY crowded!
