This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. Our Office Soundview Oral Surgery is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9-5, Wednesday and Friday 9-1. Dr. Sanfilippo is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. His training and experience in oral surgery and dental implants began in the intensive environment of a level one trauma center and teaching hospital in Nassau County, New York in 1988. In 1992, he completed his residency as Chief Resident and entered private practice in New London County.
In 2005, Dr. Sanfilippo was elected President of the Medial Staff at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, representing over 375 physicians and surgeons. Dr. Sanfilippo is currently Chief of the the Dental Section of the Department of Surgery at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of the Yale New Haven Health System. He also serves as the chairman of the Department of Surgery Peer Review Committee and Medical Staff Bylaws Committee.
Dr. Sanfilippo continues to support and represent our community as a trustee on the L&M Health System Board of Trustees. He has over 25 years of experience in the clinical practice of Oral Surgery and Dental Implants.
