Columbia Dental

As I'm sure many of you have, I heard about Columbia from junk mail they send out (coupons I later noticed specify in the fine print can't be used with insurance). They apparently had no openings for months, but I'm in no rush; it's the dentist. Fast forward, I arrived for my SO and I's back to back appointments to no one bothering to look up, followed by pointing to a giant stack of new patient forms on clipboards. After we started filling them out, someone comes out and says, "We can only take one of you." They gave away one of our appointment slots, because we "didn't confirm the appointment" and they "called, but it sounded like a busy fax signal." Now, this is a lot of BS, because I gave them both of our numbers which they repeated back to me over the phone. Neither of us got confirmation calls, missed or otherwise, and obviously those numbers correctly entered don't go to a fax line. Suffice to say, we left. We weren't feeling it as soon as we walked into that hoity-toity business office building. We'll try the family dentist in Groton. Don't bother if you'd rather be a person than a number or dollar sign to the fast food company of dentistry.

THIS OFFICE DISCRIMINATES AGAINST DISABLED CHILDREN!!! After thoroughly explaining my small, disabled son's challenges when I made the appointment I was assured they would be able to help him and they gave me an appointment within the week. I cancelled another of his appointments so I would be able to take him to the dentist and get his tooth pain dealt with. The dentist took one look at my crying, disabled little boy, as I tried to maneuver his chair into the exam room and refused to even attempt to help him. I was told this office refused to treat my son and to "take him to see some other dentist" and I had to walk out of the office wheeling my little boy who was still crying and grabbing his mouth. This was not only cruel and discriminatory but wasted time I could have spent seeking another dentist who would actually be able to help my child.

Went in to get 2 teeth pulled the dentist and the assistant were amazing. I get high anxiety at the dentist office...from the moment I walked in till the time I left very friendly ..the dentist told me step by step what he was going to do and whatnto expect. I highly recommend them.you won't be disappointed

The lady (Laney Finn) who cleaned my son's teeth was absolutely amazing. My son hates going to the dentist but Laney relaxed him and made him feel comfortable. She is very friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable about all dental procedures and which insurance will cover what procedure. She is a credit to her profession and should be commended for her intelligence and great personality as well as her willingness to make the patient feel at home and relaxed. My kid cannot wait to see her again. She goes over and above when it comes to paying attention to detail. I would recommend anyone with kids to let Laney take care of them.

Today I just had a cleaning done. Elaine was my hygienist. She was extremely personable, professional and may I add extremely good at what she does. I have sensitive teeth and there was no discomfort at all. Since I started being a patient here at Columbia Dental I have referred several friends, including family members. One of the best dentist in Connecticut. Thank you Elaine for making my teeth look perfect!
