Amazing staff. So grateful to have this hospital in our community.nnUpdate 2024. The most amazing experience with the L&D and NICU teams for my wife and our son. The nurses, doctors, therapists and all other staff we met were so amazing. We love all of the nurses so much and appreciated them after a challenging labour, emergency c-section and a NICU baby. We felt so cared for. I have never experienced this in another hospital. We stayed for four days. In the unit, there’s a coffee machine, microwave, fridge, juice and snacks accessible and well stocked any time. The units are connected so it was very easy to go see our son. The food was also the best hospital food I’ve ever experienced. It was my wife’s first time admitted to a hospital and we couldn’t have asked for more.

It was the most disappointing care I've ever had in a hospital. It took 12 hours to collect two exams and get one prescription. We went there at midnight because my girlfriend was having pain in her kidney. Only three people were in the waiting room, and it took 3 hours to get into the doctor's room. They didn't even make my girlfriend lay down in a bed even tho she said she had extreme pain. They put us in a random eye testing room, and we sat there for hours. The doctor didn't even talk to us properly, and we learned about the situation in her kidney after we left the hospital because they didn't tell us anything. We couldn't even describe the problem to the pharmacist adequately. We couldn't communicate with anybody, and it felt like we were waiting for nothing. My girlfriend had so much pain, and we spent the entire night at the hospital without IV. They gave her an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic IV in the morning, finally, after she suffered all night from the pain. They put the needle, leave the room for an hour, then come back and put the IV, and then they come back 2 hours after the IV ends to take it out. She has a bunch of random bruises on her arm from the IV. We told them that we wanted to leave the hospital because my girlfriend needed to rest and have some sleep, but they kept us in like it's a prison. At that moment, we had already booked an appointment with another doctor for the future, and we didn't want to stay there and leave the hospital to go home and relieve my girlfriend's pain and give her some time to sleep, but they treated us like we were crazy, and we didn't want to get treatment for infection. My girlfriend suffered more anxiety than her kidneys that night because of the hospital's treatment.nIt was very exhausting for my girlfriend. She is a student, so she needed to sleep, but she didn't even have the opportunity to rest anywhere and didn't even get a painkiller to relieve her pain. We just went there to learn what was wrong with her kidney and had the most exhausting night of our lives. We have been to many hospitals, and this was the worst one so far.

Today I had day surgery and staff is amazing. The lady at the registration desk was friendly and helpful. The nurses in day surgery were very thorough and friendly too. We are fortunate to have very caring and talented staff at OSMH. It would be spectacular to have a new hospital someday.

Had my first baby may 17th of this year a beautiful baby boy and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience all of the nurses are absolutely amazing and so helpful I felt very comfortable and well taken care of my entire experience at this hospital we’ll definitely be the hospital I will ask to be transferred too for my next pregnancy!!! My partner and I had our first child at soldiers, the experience and the care we received was exceptional.nnAs first time parents, we were anxious and probably more than a little annoying . Throughout the journey the staff reassured us, and allowed us to feel comfortable and safe.nnRecovery after birth, felt kind of like parenting 101, it was amazing! The nursing staff coached us through everything we needed to know as first time parents. Honestly, we couldn’t imagine going home without some of those practical experiences.nnThank you so much Soldiers Obstetrics team, keep up the fantastic work! We had no idea a world class team is so close to home.
