I've had enough with this hospital. I've gone thrice because of lung issues. Not once has the meds they given worked.nnI just went again today. I went in October for a serious cough that wouldn't go away for a month, they gave me prednisone and told me to use the puffers I had on hand. I did that... It's now July and I still have that cough. I didn't have a family doctor up until about two weeks ago when I finally got the call. I came in again today for chest pain, back pain, chest tightness, limb weakness and dizziness and disorientation. I was treated like I was stupid because previously a hospital said I had asthma but I was diagnosed incorrectly because I found out I was allergic to my pet rats. No inhaler has worked for me. Today I saw Dr Samadi. She was RUDE and pushy and in my face. I got an ecg but no xray. She gave me the EXACT SAME MEDICATIONS I TOLD HER DIDNT WORK. I was treated like a complete idiot and sent home with meds I've had but never worked. Chest pain, and body pain, and disoriented behaviour isn't normal. But yeah sure, I'm an idiot. The malpractice in this hospital is astounding and ill be finding ways to report this to the proper authorities. This is absolutely absurd.
The staff working at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston were some of the kindest, most professional, and gracious people that I have seen working in that environment under those conditions. I was beyond impressed with the care, compassion, and attention to detail, before, during, and after my surgery. I am thankful, grateful, and humbled by this experience. I hope and pray for great things for these people and their growing community.
This review is for the birthing unit at Stevenson Memorial Hospital.nnI recently had my C-section at Stevenson, and I’m very happy with the care and support I received. Dr. Nancy Kumar, who performed my surgery, was incredibly kind and supportive before, during, and after the procedure.nnThe nurses in the birthing unit are truly gold. I don’t have individual names to mention because every single one of them was compassionate, attentive, and supportive throughout my stay.nnThank you to the entire birthing unit for such amazing care and support. I’m truly grateful for this experience.
I’m not coming back here even if i was bleeding out and dying. I just got back from using the rapid assessment zone that was recently added that is meant for minor symptoms like coughs, colds, etc, because I had a very sore throat. When I saw the triage nurse she was talking to me like I’m and idiot and didn’t even seem to know what the rapid assessment zone is when I mentioned it and told me “This isn’t a walk in clinic” I heard her being rude to other patients as well. When I was sitting in the green chairs, there was an old man sitting next to me and the nurse came out and called his name and she started being rude to him and said “you weren’t supposed to leave the room” he explained that the doctor sent him back out here and she was really short with him and said “nope you weren’t supposed to leave the room” with an awful tone. He struggled to get up as she just stood there and watched. When I was in the room waiting for someone to see me I overheard a nurse tell a patient “You need to listen when a doctor tells you something” FIX YOUR TONE!!!!!!!!!!! You are working in healthcare and seem to have no compassion. maybe consider changing career paths. The past few times I have been to the er for other serious reasons the triage nurses were always rude except for ONE time I had a lovely triage nurse. Some of the nurses are super nice but a lot of you are not. have some compassion. The wait times are also ridiculous
My daughter was in a serious car crash and was taken here. Have never been to this ER before. For a small hospital the ER staff were amazing. The doctors and nurses are some of the best. Their efficiency in getting her assessed and fixed enough to go home was done in a timely fashion, 6 hours. Explained everything thoroughly. Thank you all
