Stevenson Memorial Hospital

Have been here a few times in the years we have lived in the area. Aside from once having a terrible experience with one doctor (he came in with street clothes on, didn't introduce himself and started asking questions but I had no clue who he was... Just thought some random man walked into the room... But that's another story 😂😂) all other experiences there have gone well. They have always addressed concerns for myself, our kids or my husband. Never been rushed out without feeling like the issue was resolved... And have never had to wait very long. I hope when they get the facility updates they don't lose they small-town appeal they have now. Caring staff is hard to find.

I find the wait time depends on each visit, sometimes I've been in and out and other times I have had to wait but thats expected, theres always more patients than staff! Dr Ramirez is a great doctor, he truly cares and doesnt just want you in and out. If Dr Ramirez feels you need x-rays, an ultrasound or whatever else; you will have it done! Ive had other doctors at this hospital not want to give x-rays resulting in me going to a different hospital to then find out there was a break, or an injury, and infact needed surgery.

Went into emerge at about 430pm Tuesday and and was out in an hr. Must have been one of the lucky ones to go just at the right time. The lady that you first see to do blood pressure etc could use some bedside manners, but the registration nurse was lovely. I saw Dr. Ramirez and he was great! Answered my questions and was very knowledgeable. It is quite an old hospital amd could Def use some updating, but I'll take an older hospital, over rudeness and 7 hr wait from RVH anyday.

Unfortunately my wife has been here quite a few times this year but she has been treated with kindness and care the doctors and nurses are fantastic its an old outdated hospital but I prefer this little gem over the shinning new cold and non caring RVH that charges a fortune just to park compared to the $7 daily rate you charge hope you get some funding to get some new equipment you truly deserve it and a million thanks for taking such good care of my wife bless you all

I'd like to make a compliment to Stevenson Memorial hospital staff. Yesterday I had to use the emergency for my 17-month-old baby, it was morning hours inside the hospital. But it was not a bad time, it was a quiet time, a lot of attention from the nurses, the doctor, the cleaning lady. Helpful, caring and patient people with me who still do not speak English properly. I want to deeply thank the team that did not answer yesterday. Thank you for your attention, care and patience with my baby and me.
