Stevenson Memorial Hospital

The worst hospital I've ever been to in my life. WAITED 8 hours yesterday with my daughter only to be told by doctor there was no ultrasound available even though she had so much pain. I was given an appointment next day for 10am yet her ultrasound was not done until 10:30am. It has now been four hours, and we still have have yet to see a doctor for her ultrasound results. Canada should be ashamed to have such horrible Healthcare for its citizens!!!

I just want to give the absolute biggest shoutout to the paramedics and hospital crew at Stevenson hospital.nnI had excruciating abdominal pain yesterday which I thought was a side effect of the medication I was on. Because my immune system is weaker from these meds, they placed me in isolated rooms to prevent me catching anything.nnI didn’t know it but I had early stage appendicitis and decided to call 911 because I couldn’t stand properly and had a fever. Fever on these meds is highly serious.nnI was told at 11pm last night, after a CT scan that I had early stage appendicitis and it would need to be removed in the morning. I’d be admitted overnight and have to stay potentially through to the next night.nnThe nurses, paramedic, doctors, imaging team, surgeons. EVERYONE. They were all so compassionate toward me. Taking so much care, giving me the attention I needed due to my underlying health issue. They were gentle and loving, funny and kind.nnI just want to say a huge thank you as I am recovering well from surgery and am grateful for their professionalism and empathy along this whole crazy 24 hours

I visited RVH due to some stomach issues that were causing me extreme pain and discomfort. The doctor “didn’t feel the need to do anything exam or scans” and sent me home with no resolution. After experiencing even more pain and discomfort when I got home, I decided to visit Stevensons later that night. The wait was wrong but only due to them wanting to give me my own private room. The triage nurse was extremely empathetic and gave me advice on what she thought it could be. Once I saw the doctor, he gave me an exam and decided to do some X-rays. Long story short they fixed the problem within 2 hours and gave me a plan for the next day to make sure the issue did not come back. The nurse I had was absolutely fantastic. So caring and communicative. Even though it’s a small, older hospital, I would choose them over RVH any day. Thank you to the staff at Stevensons!

This is wittern by the wife. Had my Mamogram this afternoon. I have had them for 20 years at Stephenson memorial .My breast were both ranked and twisted on and off the machine. .The technician tore both breast. She never apologizing just put gause under them . Very impatient women and very rough. Hope I never have this technician again.nn.

Arrived at the Hospital with a head injury, took 3 1/2 hours wait in the waiting room. Once taken into the examination rooms, waited another 3 1/2 hours. Kept telling us the doctor would see us soon.nLeft the Hospital after waiting for a doctor that never showed up. They seemed to take on only easy cases they could deal with. Probably needed stitches, but they didn't seem to care. Wasn't a serious medical emergency I guess for them.nPoor Healthcare service.nWould find another Hospital to deal with.nStay away from this one. Not good at all.
