I’ve been shopping at this location since I was a kid, and for as long as I can remember it was open 24 hours — at least 20 years. That late-night access was a big part of why I chose Sobeys over competitors: the convenience, the welcoming atmosphere, and the higher-end shopping experience.nnLately, I’ve noticed that your hours are now advertised as closing at midnight. While that’s already a disappointment, what really frustrated me is that when I came in recently — after checking Google, which still listed the store as open late — I was rushed out by staff because they said they were closing at 11 PM.nnMy question is: do employees have the discretion to close the store earlier than the posted hours? As a customer, it’s frustrating to plan a visit, expect the store to be open until midnight, and then be pushed out earlier. Sobeys is already more expensive than some competitors, but I’ve always justified it for the convenience and experience. If that reliability isn’t there, I’ll have no choice but to shop at places like No Frills, which at least offers better pricing.nnI hope you’ll take this feedback seriously — consistent hours and honoring the times you post are a big part of trust with your customers… I’m so tired after my shift tonight need dinner and should have went somewhere else.
Super big store and the friendly staff. This was only my second time here. Found a few new items that I have never seen before. I'm always looking for new stuff! Have a look at my pictures and press the like button! If you like what I do ,press the follow button to see what I do next.
I've been meaning to do my shopping at Sobeys on The Queensway since it's right in the neighborhood, so I went in recently for some groceries. To be honest, the produce was really fresh—lots of good-looking fruits and veggies, and the meat counter had decent cuts at okay prices for Sobeys. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection in the bakery and prepared foods section. The store's open late which is handy. The only minor thing was some items seemed a bit pricier than other spots, and a couple things looked like they needed restocking, but overall solid for a quick trip.
it’s one of the cleaner, more organized grocery stores in the area. Parking is easy in the plaza, and there’s usually plenty of space even during busy hours. Inside, the store feels bright and well laid out — produce is fresh, the bakery smells great, and the meat and seafood counters are always tidy. The aisles are wide enough to move comfortably with a cart. Prices are a bit higher than discount chains, but the quality of the fresh food makes up for it. Staff have been consistently friendly, and checkout usually runs smoothly with both regular and self-serve lanes available. It’s a pleasant place to shop if you prefer a calmer, cleaner grocery experience.
I’ve shopped at the Sobeys on The Queensway and it’s a pleasant store to grab groceries when you want a cleaner, calmer environment than discount chains. Parking is easy in the plaza, and getting in and out is straightforward. Inside, the produce area is usually well laid out and looks fresh, and the aisles feel open enough that you’re not bumping carts constantly. The bakery and prepared foods sections are convenient if you’re looking for something quick to take home. Pricing is a bit higher than bargain grocery stores, but the selection and store atmosphere make it feel worth it on certain items. Staff have been friendly, and checkout generally moves at a steady pace.
