This is one of my favourite supermarkets — everything is always fresh, and the store is clean and well-organized.nWhat I especially want to highlight is the floral department. They have a dedicated refrigerated flower room with an excellent selection of beautifully fresh flowers. Recently, I bought a bouquet for my daughter’s birthday, and the florist was incredibly kind and helpful. She created a truly stunning arrangement.nIn the first photo, you can see the bouquet on the day it was gifted. In the second photo, the same flowers one week later. The quality is simply outstanding, just like the service.nHighly recommend, and I will definitely be coming back.
Sobey’s on Queensway is undeniably convenient, and it’s nice to have a large, well-stocked supermarket in the area. The store is clean, organized, and easy to pop into when you need something quickly.nnThat said, the prices are often hard to justify, especially for produce and everyday items. More often than not, we find ourselves shopping elsewhere for better value and only stopping here when it’s a necessity or a last-minute trip.nnIf pricing were more competitive, this would easily be a go-to grocery store for us. As it stands, the convenience is the main draw — affordability, unfortunately, is not.
Super big store and the friendly staff. This was only my second time here. Found a few new items that I have never seen before. I'm always looking for new stuff! Have a look at my pictures and press the like button! If you like what I do ,press the follow button to see what I do next.
Went in this morning to pick up a cake and noticed two people assuming they work in the bakery section yelling at each other behind the counter by the ovens. It was so awkward that I even felt bad for the other poor woman working and serving customers at the cake counter. Doesn't really instill a great work environment.
terrible customer service experience. i went around 11:45pm to grab only three items, i knew what i was grabbing or otherwise would not go right before closing. i grabbed my items and went to cash, i was paying cash or i would have just used the self check out.nI was holding three items and waiting in line behind the customer at cash and one other waiting. the customer waiting in front of me was loading her items on the belt, behind the items of the customer who’s items were currently being scanned & noticed that i only had 3 items in my hand and invited me to step ahead of her as she had a full cart. i went ahead, and had my items in my hand as the lady in front of me had already laid her items down and there just wasn’t a lot of space between her and the other customers items, i was simply going to lay my things down once the cashier was finished scanning the items in front of her. although she clearly saw me standing waiting, as we made eye contact and i was waiting for a while due to the big purchase ahead of mine, she proceeded to press the button for the belt while the customer was paying, taking away the space that i was going to place my items on. i simply said to her “excuse me i have three items here” and she very rudely responded “you have to lay them on the belt so when i press the button they come in order”, mind you, there is no written rule that you need to place your items on a belt, if im comfortable and would like to hold my items.. then i said to her that the reason i was holding them was simply because the lady allowed me to go ahead of her and already had her things on the belt and she very rudely in front of other customers goes “no i saw there was enough space”, then the rest of our transaction lacked good customer service. not sure why there needed to be an argument or any disrespect, she saw me holding the items and if she had just had the patience to let me lay it down there would have been no issue at all. the interaction felt unnecessary and unprofessional. didn’t catch her name but she was the only cashier on at the time.
