If I could give this place 6 stars I would. My boyfriend and I were visiting Redmond for 3 nights and we ended up coming here 4 times. The homemade chicken noodle soup was to die for! But most importantly their ice cream was so amazing. It is super creamy and has the perfect texture, and the sundaes were even better if you have a chance to dine in. It had an old school vibe, but was very well maintained. They also named their kids menu “For smaller appetites” which really excited me since I prefer to have smaller meals, but often can’t order off the kids menu. Highly recommend.
I've only had the ice cream here on the two separate occasions that I stopped by. It was wonderful and the staff were super nice and helpful. There is indoor dining as well as a drive-thru.
I love diners and drive-ins. There is something awesome about grilled burgers and local ice cream. Great prices, clean taste, and a decent variety of grub. A great local eatery, check it out.
I drove to Redmond to have lunch at the Sno-Cap after hiking at Smith Rock. The small dining room was almost full and I found a table in the back. I reviewed the menu, and waited about five minutes for the server to take my order of a grilled chicken sandwich with a large Blackberry milkshake. It took about fifteen minutes for my order and it was bought out by the lady making the milkshakes. As I started to eat, the cook brought out another basket of fries. He said the order was a little short. The chicken was moist and had good taste and the bun was fresh. The fries were standard and not overcooked. The milkshake was thick and not too sweet. The Sno- Cap has a ice cream fountain with floats, sundaes, and soft ice cream. You will find seafood, chicken, burgers, hot sandwiches and chili on the menu. Located on 6th street in Redmond near HWY 97. A nice place to have lunch at this old-fashioned drive-in with friendly service and good food.
Came in on a Saturday at 2:30pm. The food took around 45 minutes to come out. The burgers were very bland and tasted like they were not seasoned at all. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it had ONE piece of bacon on it. The burgers were cut in half which was odd and the fries were sub par. Onion rings tasted like plain batter and again not seasoned. I decided to stop here because of all the great reviews. I really want to rate 1 star but the food was eatable so I'm giving it 2. My meal for 4 was nearly $70 and was a huge let down but hey this just means there is room for improvement right? However i still Will not return.
The menu is very deceiving. Burgers that both say they are 1/2 pounds were very different sizes. On top of that, the food is very bland. It's like they don't even season their burgers. The meat itself wasn't bad, its just not that exciting. The BLT was pretty good, and I did not try any of the other sandwiches. There are many other options in town for burgers that are better, but hey, at least they are open on Sunday.
We ate twice while in Redmond. Dinner in the evening and back the next day for a milkshake on the drive home. The nice guy who made the shakes made them thick because we were going to be on the road for three hours. The shakes were thick to well past Sisters!Food: 5/5
Sno-Cap is definitely a staple in this town. Consistently great food, super nice staff, and decent prices. But if you're looking for atmosphere, this probably shouldn't be top on your list. It's small, cramped, outdated, and dingy. But growing up here, Sno-Cap has always been exactly the same, so what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in nostalgia for me! If you want a good burger, fish and chips, handmade shake, or a malt you can't go wrong here!
Didn't have the huckleberry shake, but had a salted caramel shake along with a small fry. The small fry was like 6x the size of a McDonald's fry..also shoestring but darn delicious! A+ recommendFood: 5/5
Same great food that I remember as a kid . Nice old school burger joint clean restaurant and friendly staff . It was busy literally no seating available at the time but it was during the lunch rush only had to wait for a few minutes and my order was done. Keep up the good work Food: 5/5
