Smugglers Cove Inn

Our visit to Lunenburg was always going to be great…..but our stay at Smugglers Inn was absolutely the best choice we could have made. Michael and Rita were wonderful hosts. We got personal tours around the waterfront from Michael, including taking wonderful photos for us which we’ll cherish. Service at the hotel made us feel right at home. Michael and Rita are fully immersed in their community and love to show all of it off to visitors. Such a wonderful personal experience for us. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

We weren’t sure what to expect with our accomodation at Lunenburg as this stay was managed by our travel agent. We have been pleasantly surprised by the overall premises, the rooms are large, clean, quiet and the bed was terrific. Location is perfect - we seem to be a short walk from everything in town. Annexed cafe/bakery next door for breakfast if you want - the coffee was great.

The food in the area is unreal, everything tasted fresh and well made. The accommodation was super clean and well kept. The staff were also a highlight, very friendly and welcoming which made the whole stay feel easy and enjoyable.

I was so impressed by my stay here. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had every amenity. Talking with the staff was always seamless and pleasant. I can tell the inn is run with a great deal of care, and it shows.nnGood sushi restaurant attached, and everything's very walkable in town, or a quick drive to the most scenic spots. Overall great value, will definitely stay again when in town.nnOh and bonus detail - the TV was huge and had a good setup with all the streaming services, which I don't always see even in the big name hotels.

Charming inn in the heart of a gorgeous, peaceful fishing town. Very walkable with a view of the harbor. The hosts were incredibly kind and hospitable, and even gave us some local recommendations that ended up being a highlight of our road trip thru Nova Scotia. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a two-night stay. Wish we could've stayed longer but we'll certainly be back!
