A beautiful & clean park. Lots of great trails to explore. Very accessible for wheelchair users in summer and fall. Many areas to picnic, and fields for games.
Beautiful with lot's of green space and picnic spot. You may need to book ahead to use these picnic shelters. Many people use this park for birthday celebration and other types of celebration. You can also get a close view of the river if you walk through the nearby foot trails. Parking can be difficult on a busy day at the park otherwise, there are many free parking spots on a quite day. Temporary restroom are on site. It's also a great spot to visit in winter as you get a chance to see the frozen river. Restrooms: Temporary restrooms are available Picnic area: Many picnic area are available
We had a 5&10 k Running room Ultra Night race and it was a lot of fun. Apart from all the descriptions about the park which have already been noted and also located right besides the Edmonton Valley Zoo and connecting Hawrelak Park, this park also accommodates for some interesting events. There were at hundreds of runner tonight as you can gather from my pictures. We also use this trail Thru the park regularly for cycling Thru the park networks. Absolutely amazing!
Laurier Park has the best boat launch on the North Saskatchewan River. Ramp walkout to a floating dock with 3 sided tie ups for boats & seadoos allows for easy passenger pickup/drop off and jetski trailer retrieval. Boat ramp is paved concrete sloped at an ideal angle for easy drive trailer back in and retrieval. The city did an excellent job on this project, and it’s allowed many Edmontonians to enjoy our river on watercraft.
Huge park with lots of places to explore. They have a public washroom that's always open. The trails are nice and easy to walk on
Many shelters for Group BBQ and kids playground. Good place for Bikers & kayak lovers.
Pretty awesome playground. Surrounded by forest and a field. Lots of picnic areas and beaches around. There is a mountain bike track beside it. Lovely structures 6, I think that are made with wood and encourage the development of the kids' physical skills. It is shaded and the ground is covered in wood chip.
Gorgeous winter's day, walked our terrier around the sledding & Nordic ski areas just as the sun was beginning to drop behind the trees. Lots of skiers & sledding families enjoying a relatively balmy January afternoon with the famous Edmonton blue skies above. Speaking as a recent immigrant from the 'Wet Coast' of BC, this was just beautiful! Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs; always leashed & under control, as is our terrier puppy since he's not quite ready for the Prime Time Off Leash experience yet! Not one grumpy person yet to complain about his enthusiastic greetings, hopping up & down on his back legs!
A wonderful playground for kids and perfectly located Edmonton Valley Zoo
Such a beautiful area to explore! The trails go on for so long and seem to always connect to somewhere else, it’s incredible! You can get gorgeous views of the river and get really close. It’s such a peaceful area, lots of free parking available, I would definitely check it out!
